mysticwarrior: I'm happy with your success story. It shows how strong you are and the high self esteem you have. Kudos. Truly, your experience is pretty demoralising most especially to someone with low self esteem. We really should be careful of what we say. |

"You make me sick. I wished i had sold you off when I had the chance. You demon, you better take your tears outside and never come back. Go and die! I will never see you as a child". These words, after 10years of constant repetitions coupled with severe trouncing, were etched into every fibre of my being. One day, I prayed for the pain, the tears, guilt, anger, fear, anxiety to disappear and they did, eventually along with every other emotions. I don't know what's worse; the fact that I don't feel the emotions anymore but I still hear the words with the same intensity and disdain it was spoken with, or the fact that I wished I could relive the experience all over so I could feel again. . 2 Likes |

Poorboy:Yeah, it sounds right. That's what most people will say. It is, however, wrong. A possessive pronoun should be used before "being a science student". I can't remember the exact rule (the name of the rule). I studied all the rules when I did jamb some years back. I don't remember all the rules anymore, but they've become ingrained in my language. Now, I just know what is right and what is wrong intuitively. Please, I don't want to argue further. Google " My being here vs me being here" to get a little insight. You may let me know what you think afterwards. Shalom. 3 Likes |

Today I holds a Masters degree and a certificate in epidemiology from Harvard University, School of Public Health. The son didn't go pass the SSS 3. It's all to the glory of God. No be my power. Fasindo: If you go by what people say, you'll just be sad for nothing. Women have the most poisonous tongue yet they are the ones that never forget when slighted by others. Quite often, people who talk condescendingly on you are doing you a favour. You try not to let their opinion of you manifest in your life. In general you have to weigh things. The uncle, aunt or neighbour who bad-mouthed you may have been good to you in other ways. Never forget that too. I have heard a few of such loose talk by people. Their opinions were never true anyway. Their kids were far far worse, so I concluded it was just envy. 3 Likes 1 Share |

The first time a girl said "NO" to me I really felt bad She was, like... "u wan add me to ur queue of girls, ABI?" (she smiled and continued with...) You know what? Let's just be friends, OK?". .....those words she said to me that day she rejected my advances(in my House) are probably the only words anyone has ever said to me that really hurt. Or maybe it's just the only painful words I REMEMBER being thrown at me 1 Like 1 Share |
