Does anyone know the reason why tech stocks are really down today? |
| Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by Wittysmith(m): 8:57pm On Apr 02, 2020 |
abuabdullah:I don't think the reason is far fetched from the general paranoid caused by the corona virus crisis. The important thing though, is that good stocks are now available for grabs at good discounts for the discerning investors. |
| Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by abuabdullah: 9:51pm On Apr 02, 2020 |
Wittysmith:I do not think it is wise to buy stocks now till 20th of April when the full effect of the lock down would have been felt. Or till all the companies have reported there Q1 financial report. |

Lalaska:Congrats on your purchases. Of particular mention is your will to read the entire tread. You will make an avid investor. Stick to your strategy/plan and watch you succeed. Tesla is a growth stock. It also has investors appetite. You may consider buying in tranches to achieve a reasonable average unit cost. Mid to long term, you will enjoy a boom in the share price. |

hello great people! I am new to stock completely and i mean i dont know jack!!!! but have been following on all the great comments of the Masters here. i want to start with about $500, my major aim is long term as i saw that the 52 weeks high of some stock are very good compared to what they are now, so if i buy now definitely when the pandemic is over at the long run things will pick up to nearly their 52 weeks high, i dont mind it may be 2 years. On the other hand i read comments of some Masters here making some gains during this time all stock are going down, cos of the small amount i have now is there a way i can add to this? so questions? 1. What application is best to start with, read transactions delays and get stuck in Trove, i also checked Chaka looks like their user interface is a bit poor. anybody using any other good ones please help 2. What stocks can i buy to add some short term dividend in this short term, i can always check here every time if you want me to. 3. What best stock can i buy with this little amount that will bring something good on the long run 4. And we never can tell, some good people may say this is a small amount and they will like to add to it, you are welcome and will be appreciated I will really appreciate your answers to this? Remember i know nothing about this but learning fast. Please be so specific to give a name eg buy MSFT-Microsoft and not the sector or family name like you can buy Technology stocks. Thanks. |

OakPearl:Thank you for your encouraging words. I watched Tesla fall to $450 some weeks back and was biting my fingers because I was kept on waitlist for some weeks due to high volume and could not trade. Glad that it's here again. It's such a volatile stock that it can determine the overall shape of one's portfolio. It's going to be a fun ride with this one. |

Cheechy:It seems Trove has serious issues with their customer service and from what you are saying, their operations if not the overall health of the company. It was the first online platform I chose for transaction. I funded my account and was about to place an order when I saw the disparity in exchange rate with a certain other platform I wont mention. I raised the issue with Trove and the person retorted- 'who told you so'? I am like WTF!! Of course I took my money and made a run for it. At least temporarily. I may still go back depending on feelers I get. But I have to say what I have been seeing and hearing lately isnt encouraging. Which Nigerian stock broking firm are they working with? Who are their international partners? Its important Trove doesnt fail. Because if it does it is going to have a negative effect on all the other platforms. People might make a run for their money and that could send others into distress. Trove should shape up and fire who they need to fire and hire who they need to hire. Its a wonderful investment opportunity given to a certain category of Nigerians that should not be wasted. US and International stock brokers have disrespected Nigerians long enough. |

If you don't care about stock price and likes dividends then you can buy golgmansachs GMZ stock as they pay 0.21 cent per share every quarter consistently. Not their will be split by April 13 wait and monitor before jumping on board

Pennywise:did you try bamboo? |
| Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by abuabdullah: 8:14pm On Apr 03, 2020 |
Pennywise:Hello, Trove's exchange rate is higher (like cealing) than that of Bamboo and it will take almost a week before your account is credited. This problem emanates from how the company source FX. If it is Bamboo, your account will be credited within 24hrs. However, Trove will credit your acc within 24hrs of withdrawal while Bamboo will take days. I do not want to continue comparing both companies so that I do not appear biased towards one. |
| Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by nymphomaniac(m): 2:17am On Apr 04, 2020 |
Pennywise:Drivewealth LLC is their foreign partner. I think ARM is their Nigerian partner. This one there is so much complain about the services Trove offers, I am now thinking of trying another app. Na wa oh |
| Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by Pennywise(m): 12:22pm On Apr 04, 2020 |
ArcFresky:The truth is, I am doing things with Chaka at the moment. They are not perfect but they have a customer service that says a thing or two about their corporate culture which I believe is impressive. |

UncleSmart:@OakPerl, @YerYer please help answer some of this questions it will help some of us and other new people coming, i know you may not be too specific this or that he has to buy and that he has to do lots of job on researching each one he is interested in. |
| Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by OakPearl(op): 4:56pm On Apr 04, 2020 |
Cheechy:This is very disheartening and unacceptable from Trove. I hope they correct this negative impression they have created. No one funds their trading account only to watch it helplessly. I suggest you try chatting one of their help lines on WhatsApp; am now hoping they aren't on lock down over in Lagos. I used it when I had challenges and got reasonable solution to my queries. 0_9_0_7_7_1_3_2_7_4_6 I hope you get sorted as soon as possible. Cheers. |

thesilentone:SIGA is a commercial-stage pharmaceutical company focused on health security market. A quick glance at the stock's performance shows it is making a rebound from a 52-week low of $3.96 recorded 16th of last month from a 52-week high of $6.23 attained on 4th April 2019. Their resent surge to $4.84 may not be unconnected with their announcement of an award of a first international contract for oral TPOXX (smallpox drug) with purchase by the Canadian Department of National Defence. Upward move may not last long. |
