@nmalagos @followlasg @fgnigeria @NCDCgov I expect u guys r d ryt people to ask questions about COVID-19 we need URGENT ANSWERS to them: how long does it take for a newly infected person to bcom contagious? is d saliva and/or nasal mucosa of an asymptomatic carrier contagious? when should a person suspected of being infected have a testing? what is normally tested for to get a "positive infection" result- d virus or viral antibodies? what is normally tested for to get a "NEGATIVE infection" result- d virus or viral antibodies? what tests r being used in Nigeria and which is d commonest being used by d NCDC in Lagos? how long does it take for d virus to be detectable in d blood? how does it get from d respiratory system into d bloodstream? wot r d effects of d virus on d lungs and immune system dt produce cough and fever symptoms respectively? wot r d "lesions" seen in d lungs of patients and when do they occur? what is a "false negative" result being warned about in news articles? what test types commonly give such a result? what percentage of those released by d LASG could have such a "false negative" result? how much viral load is present to be declared as a negative result? wot happens to d lesions in their lungs? wot r d possibilities of d virus being present and undetected in such lesions or other tissue/organs? wot r d consequences of such a person being released back into their community? kindly assist with such answers, as they'll help many in d healthcare system make informed assessments in their own spheres of influence. |
