I am very sure the pax Caverton Helicopters flew into PH are Oil & Gas workers; essential service workers just like electricity workers. And i want to believe the governor was ill advised in carrying out the arrest.

Apparently the ban also affects airspace,i.e movement from one state boundary to another. Caverton flying to offshore locations is not the issue, flying passengers from another state to locations in Rivers is where they ran foul of the law.

Bristow helicopters has far so been operating within the confines of the law which is very clear.Fly from Naf base to any offshore or onshore locations within the state but dont cross state boundaries.

If the Federal govt had taken this type of actions, we wouldn't be dancing this reggae music of COVID-19 by now. We should commend Woke for his proactive style. His request is very simple...they should provide all the person's they flew into the state. Woke is privy to all info and it is not impossible that those passengers may have come from Abj or Lagos. That is dangerous. Let them not endanger the rest of the citizenry because of respect for certain individuals.

I'm surprised this governor doesnt know that the fixed wing terminal at airforce base where both Bristow and Caverton operate is only used by oil and gas workers. The federal government need not talk to him. The only thing they need to do is to withdraw federal allocation from rivers state for the entire duration he stops helicopter and fixed wing airplane operations and also tell the IOC's in rivers state not to pay company income tax since they made losses during that duration. Nobody will tell him before his brain resets. I wonder who his advisers are.Smh!

Wike is only enforcing the federal government laws,no inter state movement in the airspace,even Caverton knows this. Bristow that has more clients is adhering to the laws.

All terminals have adopted stringent rules to prevent the spread of the virus knowing the peculiar nature of their work environment.The key word here is 'safety'.

Does Carverton or Bristow fly passengers from Naf base located in Ph to Escravos in Delta?

If the FG withholds Rivers State allocation, no other state in NIGERIA will receive allocation. Infact Nigeria go resort to borrowing to survive. You can bank on this.
