quote author=koppa post=64148440]Gonna make this short....

Started feeling pain exactly a year ago during NYSC at Kano on my right breast, did some online inquiry and suspected Gynecomastia, as i wasn't so sure, i went to the community hospital and the Doctor said it's what i suspected, and said it was as a result of Hormonal imbalance, he gave me drug prescription, which i took to the Pharmacy and sadly they had just one of the three, as i wasn't sure of taking an incomplete dosage, i didn't buy the drug... Sadly while packing my stuffs at the end of the service year i left the drug prescribed for me at Kano, now it seems the Gynecomastia won't go, although there as been no real increase in the size, but i still can't wear tight hug shirts like i used to...... need an advice on what to do, and by the way am 23.....
although a medical friend said it will go away with time, he's still a medical student though..

Ok Guys, this is a long read so bear with me.

I had searched for so long for anything or topic related to Gynecomastia in Nigeria to no avail before the poster of this thread finally did and after that I followed it up keenly. I would like to salute the courage of the poster and to say he has inspired me to share my story and process with others that might be suffering this same condition.

You have no idea how psychologically paralyzing this condition is, others might not see it as a big deal but trust me it is. It is a huge deal. What other guys take for granted you are unable to do. Simple things like wear your favorite Tshirt, taking off your shirt in public, play soccer with your guys, going swimming becomes scenes of immense torture to your mind. You are intensely self aware when you wear shirts that your nipples are protruding and therefore everyone is staring at you. The biggest damage this condition does to a guy is psychological and the effects cannot be understated. To every guy suffering from Gynecomastia I know your fears and share your pain.

I have had with this condition for about 20years plus now. I first discovered it in secondary school and now I’m a 34year old man with my own family. I tried everything from when I started having puffy nipples to try to hide it, I used the elastic band from my boxer shorts to wrap around my chest. Lol. After that I researched some pills (bad idea) Pills do not work by the way. Please do not even try to use them, total waste of time. I naively thought at a point that It was just some kind of fluid that was under there that if I buy an injection syringe and suck it out I’d be fine. Lol.
I eventually convinced my parents back then that it was indeed a problem for me and we went to see the doctor but he told me not to worry that it would resolve on it’s own. It never did.

For years I was sad, depressed and distraught and eventually I gave up. I became a master at hiding my condition throughout university no one ever saw my chest, I would go to the bathroom with boxer shorts and hang my towel around my neck just so no one would see my gyno. One thing I stumbled on though that gave me temporary reprieve for many years is the black electrical tape. After trying cello tape and plaster I eventually landed on black electrical wiring tapes. It Works guys. This was what helped me through all these years and I was able to mask my puffy nipples and wear shirts that were fitted and gave me some semblance of normalcy to my life however fake it was.

I always knew that one day I would have surgery as that was the only way to fix this. During my NYSC in Abuja I finally found a plastic surgeon that could do it. She did it under local anesthesia and she did take out some gland but unfortunately for me, she didn’t do nearly enough. She just cut me open for nothing because after weeks of waiting to see any difference there was none. I was intensely depressed not to talk of how pissed I was cause I had spent 180k and this was a lot of money back in 2011.

I have lived with it since then with me and my black tape. I had a black tape everywhere, in my car, in my work bag, at home just so I’m not caught slacking. Lol

I came across a plastic surgeon in Lagos recently and I decided to have another go at getting rid of this Gynecomastia once and for all. From the consultation he put my mind at ease and told me he would use a combination of liposuction and gland excision. Anyways long story short I had my surgery done finally on Wednesday and I’m healing nicely. I’m still in my compression garment so I haven’t seen the result yet but I’ve seen a video from the operating table when they were taking the gland out and for the first time since I can remember in all my life my I saw my Nipples FLAT. My Gyno is finally gone guys. FINALLY!!!! After over 20 years. I still don’t fully believe it. It feels unreal. All these years of suffering just Gone in under 2 hours.

I’ll share my pictures and my recovery photos with you guys as I progress along. I hope I’m able to inspire someone with this condition to not give up and stay positive. I know it’s tough but it’ll be ok in the end.

This gynecosmatia is a great problem for most guys in sub-saharan Africa, and world at large...Surgery is the best way to get rid of it.. No amount of exercise can help...
If I may ask, what are the hospitals in Nigeria that can carry out this procedure, and the cost...Thanks

Run a quantum test that will show 32 organs in your body how they are faring.
Do it and see what's wrong with any of your male hormones.

If you would like to run the test, send a message to my WhatsApp number 08164572294 with your location so I can direct you to our closest office for the test.

Health issues only pls.

There is only one solution to this embarrassing condition, and that is surgical extraction of the fatty tissue.

No amount of exercise will get rid of that female breast tissue in a man.

No drug will have any effect whatsoever on that deformity.

Look for a competent doctor, pay for the surgery, and be freed for life, from that condition, after a one-hour surgical procedure that is by the way VERY bloody, though harmless if handled by a qualified and experienced surgeon.
what about gynexin? Read about it

1Million is crazily much! I am going to be doing my own surgical operation at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). I have been booked for surgery by the end of December, and the last time I inquired for the price from a senior surgeon who is in the field in the same LUTH, said less than 50k because it going to be done under a local anaesthesia (it a mild case just the left breast) but I don't know if this is for the whole process (including admission fee, drugs and other necessities).

I will keep you updated on the fee but try to give me a mention by December 20th, because I am to check the clinic for Pre-Operation which I will be getting the price and other vital information.

The only problem is you may have to parade that place for a long time before they finally conclude your OP date. I have been going there since January of this year.
hello bro, any update on this?

Hello greenskittles,

I have done my surgery and I would like to inquire about healing process like how long did the swelling last after you did yours and if you ever used a bandage to wrap your chests for rapid healing process. Because I was suprised not to be given any form of compression vest/bandage after the operation.
hello where and how much did you do the surgery please

Yes there was a visible decrease around the operated area post surgery, which later formed a fluid (seroma) within a week and was drained out.

Healing process should depend on your body system, I think there begins a noticable change within 6-weeks.

It exactly one year March 28 I got the surgery done and I can now go shirtless and do most activities I have stopped while growing up.

Good deal my brother. Looks like a rather large scar, but once that fatty tissue is removed, you are free from the stigma for the rest of your life.

Now you can start lifting weights at home during lock-down, so that you can re-design your body to erase all traces of that surgery, except for the surgery scars, which you can claim were battle scars that you got while battling Boko Haram terrorists in Sambisa Forest. Women will get wet when you tell them that tall tale.

On a serious note, congratulations for taking the step that was needed to restore normalcy to your life. Your days of hiding your body are over.

Hi.

Where did you do your surgery and how was the recovery and the cost?

Ive had this since I was 10, though it didn't bother me till I was 17, I'm 20 now.

Since then, it has made me depressed, given me anxiety and almost suicidal - Nov - Dec 2017. It has stopped me from even engaging in normal activities.

Some time back, I joined a club at school, I didn't know that on Friday, they go for swimming. The day I heard it was the last time I attended the club meeting. I was called and messaged but I lied that I was busy, but deep down I really wanted to be among them.
I practically don't go out anymore and I'm currently a recluse.

Opened up to my mum when I was 18, she was arguing with me, I just lock up.

If you can help with the details, I'll be thankful. Can't wait to get rid of this stuff, not even counting the negative mental effect it has on me I'll prolly even need therapy.

Thanks

Hello, any updates

I feel your pain, brother, because for a long time before my own surgery, I was EXTREMELY self-conscious about those lumps on my chest that I knew had to be removed.

While surgery is not an option for you just yet, I strongly suggest that you embark on a weight lifting regime, to improve your overall body tone and health, both mental and physical. When you start the process of building muscle, your mind will have a new focus that is far more healthy than your current mental state. Make it a goal to bench-press your own body weight, over the course of a year, and in so doing, the size of those lumps on your chest will naturally become smaller than the surrounding muscle, and your neck area will also fill out, for a much more masculine look.

Finally, the fact that you cannot afford surgery at present, does not mean that you will ALWAYS be unable to afford that corrective procedure, so do NOT allow yourself to develop poor health due to a sedentary lifestyle where exercise has been neglected. The old saying reminds us that while a healthy person has many dreams and aspirations, a sick person has but ONE wish, namely to find a cure and become healthy once again.

Do not allow lack of regular exercise to degrade your health. Work out with weights, and run vigorously in place on a foam mattress at home, to protect your knees from impact, all to keep fit, so that WHEN, and not if, you are in a position to afford that surgery, you will already have the hard toned body of a healthy man, in a near perfect state of health before you go under the knife.

Stay up brother man, and stay positive. There is no substitute for good health. Do not neglect your health by forgetting to exercise regularly.

I have it also.
It is one of the worst things that can befall someone.
It's psychological effect is damning.
It is the first thing people notice when you have a misunderstanding with them and they won't hesistate to remind you!
I don't even the money to eat let alone going for surgery.

I AM FVCKED!
