The quality of 'short notice' outputs indicates competence, or the lack thereof. The use of the word 'hilarious' in the statement is stupid.

1. They can change the commissioner of police and the GOC and withdraw all his security detail.
2. They can declare a state of emergency in Rivers, remove the governor and install an interim sole administrator and then make the governor face a panel for corruption charges.
3. They can withhold all federal allocation meant for Rivers state.
4. They can relocate all oil company offices from Rivers to some other state thereby depriving Rivers of large proportion of the IGR.
5. All this can happen and oil production will still continue.

A lesson to note from this: State governors are just caretakers of properties within their jurisdiction. The federal government ultimately owns all.
