Knowledge is killing you, that's why you're trapped but I'll appreciate if you can answer these questions;

1.How come there's no cure and in Lagos about 50 cases has been released with report that they're well?

See, Government takes opportunity of any death now to scare people of the virus and they now gullible Nigerians will fall for it.

How come it has not killed any government official in spite of their engagement with their active travel history lately before lockdown?

1. More than 90% of people with the virus go on to recover. Some don't even exhibit symptoms. Covid-19 is not an automatic death sentence.

2. The virus is not a political enemy. It doesn't deliberately target certain people because of their position, after all Prince Charles has recovered and Boris Johnson is mending well. Many older people including some with preexisting health conditions have survived.

The death rate is between 3.4% to 4%. That means betwern 96.6% to 96% of victims will recover.

I don't think the government is scaring anyone by taking extreme measures and telling people to stay safe. It's for everyone's own good because no one can tell who's going to live and who's going to die even if the mortality rate is not too high.

Valid and verifiable information are on the internet. Your comments shows you lack basic scientific knowledge about Viruses and how they interact with their hosts. Take sometime to read about Viruses and Viral infections....you will understand better.

But then, if you are a student of Economics, using your basic knowledge should also tell you the Economic implications of shutting down Lagos (Nigeria's biggest commercial State), Abuja (Nigeria's Capital territory, the seat of power), and Ogun state...Not to mention States where there are restrictions and partial lockdown.

You think Government will be so foolish and happy to lockdown her pot of soup based on mere propaganda and falsehood You think they are happy with impending recession starring at their faces You think organisations are happy to stop working You think intending tsunami of massive job lose, pay cut that is hitting the world and already started hitting Lagos is a good thing for anyone to desire

If all these my analogy doesn't sink...then I am sorry, I can't help you.
CoVID19 is as real as the air we breathe in...Stay Safe..Pray or make a good wish this thing should be over very very soon. The aftermath of it, if it lingers, not just on the health of the populace, but the long run ECONOMIC IMPACT is not what any country in the world desires.

That guy/lady will argue with you. His pride won't let him either reason with you or stay quiet.

Recovery is not only in Nigeria. As at 25th of last month about 113, 000+ people in the world have recovered from COVID-19 and yet there's no cure. It's interesting to know that governments around the world chose to shut down their economy just to scam people.

We are always exposed to virus and diseases daily.. That's the work of our immune system to fight it naturally, but if the situation is complicated that's when you start having symptoms.

Drugs/medicine are only immune booster not a cure. They make our immune system to be active and take care of the diseases/viruses

well I think it's quite high because they are testing those with travel history to high risk areas, those who had contact with confirmed cases and their family, so its expected that from this group there would be more positives.

Many adults who have malaria don't take drugs to get cured.
The immune system is why you could leave your home and return sound.
It is your immune system that actually finishes off diseases, not the drugs you take.

I suggest you ask questions instead of commenting on a topic you don't understand.
I disagree with u,if u fall sick yur immune system has fail u,what u need is specific drugs to fight d microbes.

cheesy cheesy cheesy Guy lt is obvious you have no idea in regards to how the immune system works.
First of all don't mislead people by telling them that the pandemic is a hoax or scam.
Secondly, i personally know someone who is infected by the virus(a med doctor who returned from the Uk) the last time i checked by calling him, he is doing well and is only taking home remedies.
Thirdly you said "when there is no cure how come people are getting better in Nigeria"? Allow me to educate you that there are different factors ranging from environmental to cultural to diet to genetic, to our way of life that are taken into cognisance when the severity or mildness of a disease is evaluated.
Nigeria may not have a cure but i strongly believe that Nigeria is blessed with different antimicrobial natural plants that we consume without even knowing its potency. That is no. 1
No. 2, Our Environmental factor such as the Temp of our country MAY not allow the organism to thrive thus making it easier for our immune system to put up a defence and finally engulf the virus.
Make i stop here i don tire to type grin.

You are correct.
Just to add.
Even some previous vaccination might affect immune response to a new disease outbreak

United States Coronavirus: 502,876 Cases

18,747 Deaths

That's less than 3% death rate..

Nigeria is currently with 300+ cases with 5 deaths..

You can only correctly compare or cross reference Nigeria with America if we were testing and isolating at the same rate or pace as they are...

I personally believe Nigeria has far more infected cases, with most not showing symptoms, versus hospitalized and deaths... This makes Nigeria far better than America overall.

In the real sense, if America has 3% death rate, then Naija realistically has less than 1%.

The problem could be solved by performing 2 tests 2 weeks apart while
the patient is quarantined within that period.

Developing a home kit test that can be used by anyone will be a game-changer
as people can check themselves before leaving home for the day.

Read again. The danger with those kits is returning a false result. the failure is more at the early stage of infection.
