Is Handwriting Genetic? by laydoh(op): 11:47am On Apr 11, 2020

I have been wanting to ask this question for a long time.

Personally, from my parents to the last kid of my family who is only 8 yrs old have a good handwriting.

So I always wonder if it is anywhere related to genetics.

I don't believe it is.

Used to have very bad handwriting until I started imitating my primary school teacher. I now have the only good handwriting in my family.

Yes.
My mum has a beautiful hand writing which me and my sister took after now my sister 8year old girl has the same hand writing as beautiful as our mother.

Maybe, if fine motor skills play a factor

Everyone's handwriting in my immediate family is different, some beautiful, some ugly as hell (mine)

It is, but not in most cases, as far as it can be read and understood, how it looks like doesnt matter.

I don't think so. My mum and dad have one of the best writings in the whole of Africa but mine looks like... Naira Marley's dada maybe grin

I think so cos My mum's handwriting is good and when I started writing, my handwriting looked exactly like hers....

All my siblings&I have d same handwriting as my dad.
I believe it's in d genes and training cld be a factor too.

for me I don't have same pattern of writing, different ball pens, different writing pattern's, my writing using a pen is always different from my writing using a pencil. I can't really say look at the way my writings look like, because different scenarios can inference my writing looks.

Mine changes according to conditions. It is sometimes bad when I'm tired.
I have like 4 different writings.
