Do you currently use these two at your place?

What's the practical effect to you?

Presently the one I’m using is been constructed some yrs back (that one is not biogas or biodigester ) bcs I’m not into this then, but it’s also 4compactment septic tank. Now this new innovation is more better.
I will soon switch to this soon.
Check the pics of the constructed one for some clients

Let’s safe our environment against diseases like cholera and related ones

Can it be constructed for a poultry housing over 1000 birds? And will the waste be enough to produce gas for a family of 5? Can the gas be stored?

I want to use this medium to advertise the new step on our construction firm (Rotech building concept)
By introducing BIOGAS and BIODIGEST system of waste evacuation to you people.

Here is the thread I created for the system

https://www.nairaland.com/5786342/biogas-bio-toilet-bio-digester-toilet#88309204

We don’t need much introduction here.
We are house hold name in nairaland, our past and present clients can testify to this.

Let’s go straight to the business.

Biogas/ bio-digester waste system.

Today we can see that innovation doesn’t not stop on how to make life more easier for ourself by introducing new system that will safe money, time, stress, and many more throughout the world, that is the why India people come up with this human waste( feces) system that is more reliable and more environmental friendly to the people called BIOGAS and BIODIGESTER to eliminate old system(septic/ suck away.
Most of you may have come across this system
Before here or outside here.

BIODIGESTER
Biodigester is a system whereby four compartment chamber are designed to treat and decomposed humans waste(feces) through anaerobic action which will convert the solid waste to water and methane.

HOW DOES THIS WORK
The 1st chamber or compartment is where the human waste will 1st entered through the toilet soil pipe outlet, the solid waste will drop at the bottom of the chamber, then the bacterial present in there will act on it and eat the solid waste and decomposed it ( anaerobic action)
Immediately the water filled up it will flow into the second chamber through the connection pipe way.
In the second chamber the same action will take place again till the End chamber.
At this point the water will comes out clean like about 95-98pec clean.

1. It will be odorless
2. Colorless.
3. Environmental friendly.

At this point you can now channel the water into a small constructed suck away or into the drainage outside
Also
-the water can be recycle again to use in flushing the toilet system.
- the water can be used to water plant.

Advantage over old system of evacuating waste is

1- it digest organic solid in an ecological way
2-it save cost of evacuation
3- it’s odorless
4-it also server as alternative of dumping effluents into river and lagoon (Lagos state come to mind here )
5- it save cost in construction than the old regular system.
6. It takes only little space
7. It also prevent human waste and untreated water from contaminating ground water.

This same process is almost the same to BIOGAS but there is a diff in the chamber construction system.
More so the gas from the methane can be used As COOKING GAS.

We are now partner with a firm to carry out any of this system at friendly cost.

Where you can use this system
1 schools
2 commercial building : hotels, mall etc
3. Hospitals
4 , public toilet
5 markets etc

COST
For a 2bedroom to 4 bedroom flat range btw 200- 250k
Duplex range from 200-300k
Hotels from 300-350k

You can reach us for any questions about this

Yes it’s also very good for poultry farming also animal dung all the will generate good methane gas for the domestic and industrial use (biogas system )

How do u get rid of d slug?

If you go through my explanation it’s there sir.
But let me explain again
The slug water (effluent) will be treated by this system with help of anaerobic action and effluence will come out clean up to 90-98pec which is not toxic to the environment.the remain sand like sludge will be so little and it will be Piling up little by little this will take many yrs before it will occupied the chamber (10-35 yrs) depends on the the size of the building and occupants
Then you just need to give labour money to pack of off like 5k
The sand will also clean like 90-95pec which is also environmental friendly.

This water will be passed into small suck away pit like 1x1.1.5 size or we can channel it to the outside drainage bcs it’s clean, it’s environmental friendly (one of the advantages over old system.
In Sahara desert or where water is scarce the water can be recycled for toilet flush
More so the water can be used to water plant ( another advantage)

More questions are welcome.

for a builder it's 8 - 10% of the project cost.
Although if your lucky you could get some one who would accept 5%.

This is a very helpful calculation and professionally done. However, please do not encourage the introduction of CLAY to any building site. This is poor practice. Clay is a very poor soil quality which often times than not is responsible for cracks in building without expensive due diligence regarding the foundation.

We don't know what the poster wants to use the land for but I will encourage laterite all through. No clay please.
Is clay diff.frm laterite?

He's not a builder per say, just one of the elders in the neighborhood that ha e supervised over 50 constructions. He opted to assist without requesting in supervising and said I'll pay him.

I'm asking so I can be fair.

Project cost is about ₦4,350,000.00 and I definitely can't pay anything close to such percentage

Hello Guys,
Please any furniture know the house that can give a cost of what this will be with 'HDF wood based on the measurement

The Nigeria measurements are different. Warri (Delta State) MDF Wardrobe prices:

4x6m as from 45k
4x9m (floor to ceiling) as from 90k

So the prices differ according to size, design (how many compartments) and the quality and type of hinges and handle. Take a look at the space you designed for wardrobe in your project, this will give you the size and style of design that suits your project and then negotiate price accordingly.

Please note that MDF has lower quality. All na MDF, but some MDF pass some MDF.

The low quality MDF is as from 35k. If you decide to use the better quality MDF, make sure this is what would be delivered and not the lower one for the price of the higher one.

Prices are according to the size of the cabinet and design and materials used.

Double fronted kitchen wall and floor cabinets as from 25k. So measure your kitchen to determine the number of cabinets your kitchen needs and negotiate price accordingly.

Clay is different from laterite. The picture attached is typical Nigeria laterite. Very good solid soil quality. This kind of soil is a builders dream.

Clay is white, slimmy when wet and very dursty when dry. It is a nightmare to inexperienced builders.

Innovation is always welcome but you need to research this system properly before you lend it your name and reputation. Especially in the Nigerian context.

I have three areas of concern.

1. Anaerobic action involves the absence of oxygen. Your chambers have to be airtight.

2. Where we used this, the system had to be ‘seeded’ with the special bacteria for the digestion. The bacteria action was continuously monitored as they are susceptible to things like bleach or other toilet cleaners.

3. With both of the above directly affecting the efficacy of the process, I wouldn’t be as blasé as you seem to be, in suggesting the effluent can simply be introduced into our environment or reused domestically. Again, where we used it, regulations enforce continuous monitoring and testing of the effluent before allowing it to be ejected.

The responsible thing to do would be to first offer your system prototype to whatever entity regulates environmental matters and discharges (water board?) for rigorous testing and Nigerian certification.

Yes... Laterite is the best material for Filling arguably.

Again it depends on design. If you have cast the space for the wardrobe but only need just frame and the wardrobe door, cast should be cheaper.

However, if you want the cast to have compartments for boxers, socks, locked area for valuables, shelves, spraying of the door and inside with fancy hinges, rollers for the shelves and the quality of the wood used, MDF should be cheaper.

So quality finish is key. If it is anyhow, anyhow sha, wardrobe na wardrobe, cast is cheaper.
