Note 9 pro max? That one won't be available till probably May.
You could get the note 9s if you want but it's not available in Nigeria either, jumia has it but it'd take a month to deliver since it's abroad.

But overall in my opinion get the note 8 pro.
I'll be expecting to beat you in COD when I get this new phone

If runs Fornite on epic graphics and pubg on hdr ( this is pubg fault cuz even SD 855 does HDR)

have you considered getting a UK/US used Galaxy S series ? let's say the Galaxy S9

since you are not a picture freak, the single camera setup will be okay for you, and it certainty is better than the Redmi Note 8 in some main features such as

A faster processor: SD 845-US/ Exynos 9810 - UK

a better super AMOLED display with 570 ppi compared to the redmi note 8's IPS LCD display with 395 PPI

a better body build without a "hole/notch" in the screen, battery life may not be excellent but you can always get a power bank to keep going

I am putting it into consideration too.. Someone mentioned it earlier..

Good evening everyone.

I have been contemplating on the phone to get for the past one month now. I wanted to buy the Redmi note 8 pro but was unable to do that because I fell sick and the lockdown started.

I have gone through the Xiaomi reviews over and over again and the fear of few things has been keeping me from making the decision.
1) There has been complaints of some of the phones having network issues and some other minor issues I hear.
The whole tweaking to install Gcam and other stuffs that includes flashing or ROM or so.

The Note 9s is out but I have not seen anyone use it, so, I don't know if it would be a waste of money.


Then, someone advised that I should buy Samsung A70 or so. But I am looking at the fact that most Samsung phones have battery issues. They don't run on Android 10 and I wonder if it would be possible to get the updates after buying the phone.


I really don't want to waste money honestly.

My budget is 80-90k and I can increase it if possible..

If not Redmi note 9s, what better Xiaomi do you think I can get and not waste money?
Or should I just buy Samsung but I really I want to change brand too and the screen price is annoying too.

Specs that I am looking out for

Faster processor
Better battery life (I am an heavy user)
Best Camera
Android 10 and other updates that won't drain battery..
Type C charger and fast charging too

redmi note 8 pro should be your choice,or if you can wait small for the note 9s still not bad most of Samsung A series devices are using shitty exynos processors

If you would game at all self consider note 8 pro or note 9s,but if you fancy full screen display mi 9t(redmi k20) is your first love

Go for xiaomi flagship and you won't regret it. Some lowly informed ppl will say Samsung is a competition to iphone but fact is xiaomi and huawei are the real competition Samsung is worried about. Iphone is on a whole new category on its own without any runner up

Em yes and no...

BTW just found out the A70 uses SD665 not exynos (surprisingly).
The GT90 is still better tho it's basically equivalent to SD 720-730

So yah it's still better than the A70 based on processor.

How about A71?

Both phones offer the same thing. You're looking for. Both have the same battery life 4500mah. But the processor is also another factor for you. Which redmi note 8 pro edges A70 out. Go for redmi. Just so you know you will need to upgrade to Android 10 on ur Redmi and A70.

So try and look for other factors cos they are good head to head for what u asked.

Sleek phone? A70 obviously.

Note 9s is barely different from note 8 pro, shockingly the note 8 pro is actually better the only difference with the note 9s is that it has slightly better camera and a better design with a bigger battery.

How about A71?

The A71 basically has a weaker screen protection(gorilla glass 3) than the redmi note 8 pro (gorilla glass) but the A71 has a better camera.
I'd still take the redmi over this if you're gamer because the Helio GT90 has a stronger GPU than the SD 720 and 730.

I love Samsung phones I'm currently using the s10 plus nothing makes you more happy than using a well recognised phone brand with parts fully available won't lie have heard alot about redmi note 8 Pro they say its fast and has got good camera but I would advise you to get a samsung not because I'm a big fan of it but for your peace of mind and DON'T GET THE A SERIES it's mid range and doesn't have much specs I rather advise you get the note or s series and for best performance start the s and note series from either the s9plus or note 9 they are both up to date interms of performance, Camera, speed and battery capacity

u be olodo is k serie not under MI? I simply asked her to search Redmi and MI . All MI are Amoled whether super amoled or hi amoled o they are all amoled. Period ! Mr Too know . OP, judging by your budget(80-100k), this won't get you the Samsung Galaxy A70 o. Unless you are willing to add some extra buck, The Xiaomi Note 8 Pro is your best choice.

The Samsung A71 uses the SD 730G, but it's way past your budget. Both Samsung and Xiaomi releases timely updates for their devices, you are covered in that angle.

Yea, in terms of screen, the S and Note series are super great. But don't forget these are flagship phones and the Note 8 Pro is a mid-ranger, the price difference is so wide.

1st of, none of the Samsung from 2018 upwards have battery issues. The A series have the best battery on any smartphone anywhere. Btw I use A70 and its way above your budget bought mine 118k and with the Corona nonsense it should cost more now



The xiaomi is a fantastic phone but I have personal preference for Samsung phones
