We Catholics call it the hour of Divine Mercy. Remember that Christ expired at the third hour. There is this Saint that Christ visited and introduced the prayer of Divine Mercy. Her name is St Maria Faustina. On every visit to her by Christ, she wrote all He told her in her diary. Christ specifically told her that He refused nothing asked of Him at that hour which is the hour of Mercy. He said that He will pour all His mercy to any soul that came to Him at that hour. I have received answered prayers at that hour and I don’t usually play with it. Sometimes , if I am on motion and it’s 3pm , I do say the prayer. It’s goes like this,

In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

You expired Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O fount of life, unfathomable Divine Mercy envelope the whole world and empty yourself out upon us, amen.

O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a Fount of mercy for us, I trust in You.

Then say Our Father, Hail Mary, I believe in God.

You use the rosary for this prayer.

On each of the big bead of the rosary , u say, “Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of your dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.”

Then on each small beads , you say “For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world” (10times)

Then start another one with Eternal Father , I offer You as the prayer above.

After saying it 5times, you say Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world(3times)

Then , you say private prayers and petitions. You ask the Lord anything u wanted at this time.

After u close the prayer like this:

ETERNAL FATHER, in whom Mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your Mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself , Amen.

Then say Jesus, I trust in You (3times)

Let me also say that praying at that hour especially 3am shows a sign of commitment, dedication and love for God because the whole world sleep at that hour. So it is a good thing to wake up and say some prayers at that hour even if u are not a catholic.

The Bible says pray without ceasing.. So I don't think that there is a particular time for prayer..

There's nothing special about 3,6,9 or 12 hours of prayer. These times were observed in Jewish tradition as special hours of prayer, but Paul rebuked Christians in Gal.4:9-10 to stop the practice because it's bondage.

The special prayer hours was Catholic Dogma copied by some churches that has no truth in the New Testament of Spirit of Liberty.

A Born Again man does not need all that. What he needs is faith in the finished work of Christ, Heb.11:6, Mk 11:22-24.

He needs to grow in the knowledge of his rights, power and authority and all the blessings that Christ's resurrection had given to him;Phil.2:9-11,2Peter 1:3-4.

A born again man is instructed to PRAY ALWAYS IN THE SPIRIT,Eph 6:18. This is where the power and answer to prayer is.

Yes, Jesus prayed all night, Luke 6:12. He did that to avoid distractions. When you pray, learn to focus your mind on Him in faith and you will see result not minding the hour you pray.

2am to 3am...
This is an ungodly hour where people committs all sort atrocities, thieves, witches and wizards manipulation... People believes taking advantage of this hours in prayer could trigger delivery....

Prayer can be done anytime and hour of the day, provided you pray right. Praying right is what matters and not the time of the day.

Now Gods timing is not same as ours just like His ways are not like ours'. We men ,try to box God in in corner by trying to dictate how he should work or answer us. Now, for all you know, that your 3am might be God's own 1pm the most active time of the day. So what makes you think, he'll be "less busy" and better attend to your prayers at that time. For your info, our time zones are different all over the world. So while you're thinking the world is "less busy" in your zone, the other parts are fully awake with activities going on and God is also foreseeing the affairs of these other regions of the world. So He never "less Busy". Pray aright and you'll get results.

God says, "WHEN you call upon me in time of trouble, I will answer you. He didn't say when you call at 3 or so so time. God is ever attentive to our prayer whenever we call upon him. Please let stop stereotyping God.

Who says God is less busy at that time? Remember time zones differs. 3AM here here in Nigeria is 9:00 AM in Japan

Its the hour of mercy. In Catholic, its the Divine Mercy hour. yes you can pray anytime you wish,but I tell you this hour has been my saving grace. google up divine mercy prayer,learn it,pray it fervently with your intentions and thank me later.

The one at 3am is also good. It enables you to keep vigil against Atheistic Night & Peace Marauders.

Lack of good sleep causes mental psychosis. At 3 am you should be in deep sleep unless you are on a night shift.

12am -3am, It's called Watch Hour.
At this hour human's tend to fall deep asleep, whereby ungodly and Godly things do happend.
Jesus Christ also prayed at Gethsemane during this time, he came back and findeth them (disciples) asleep...

well 3 o clock is the hell hour and the only way is up when you are in rock bottom hell and so this is when your prayer will be most effective because the only way is up. its the alchemy hour.

So, some people would wake up at that time to pray, believing that it's more necessary, while others always add that it's the period where there was a Divine interaction between man & God, an ease of passage of Man from physical into supernatural, (In Chris's death), therefore God is usually more accessible at that hour.

Have you ever experienced any of such "effectiveness" in prayers @ this hour??

I have a friend who testified to that...

God in His word admonishes us to pray without ceasing..
And come to think of it,if you choose to be praying at 3am and you decide to form a prayer group with a relative staying in America...whose 3am will you use..??**thinking out loud..

I have a friend who testified to that...

God is in every hour. Just pray to the Holy Spirit to allocate your own covenant hour of prayer to you and He will do it.... Severally , I did and severally he woke me at that same very hour.

When did you get all that? Any people who does that lives in fear and bondage. He will continue to run from one prayer house and ministry for deliverance because he believes in falsehood. A born again man who has come to Knowledge is greater than Satan; Phl.2:9-11, Eph.1:15-23.

Walk in knowledge of the Resurrection and you be free operations of elements of this world.

I believe he is asking for private prayer not group or corporate prayer .. separation is a must for every believer
