I don't know why Nigerians feel our leaders are doing us a favour. Can't someone tell me how this rubbish can cushion the effect of the lock down. I have not seen any government that is sincere in this country. From the federal to state levels. They are all criminals.

Read about how Abia State shared relief materials. They did it using churches.
Also note that Lagos State government was given ₦10b whereas no state in the east was given anything. So, u can't compare the two.

The FG should give priority to Lagos and Ogun in the National Cash Transfer scheme. States that are not under lockdown are being given priority. When the economic livelihood of Lagos,FCT and Ogun have been suspended,it's only natural that these three locations should be given the highest priority in cash disbursement before these other states. Lagos state also has the highest population and In between the Island, Apapa, Ikeja and Alimosho, that's a lot of economic activities that has been shut down. These locations alone has more economic activities than some five states combined. They should be given priority over Katsina for example. When that of locked down states are sorted then you can move to other states not underr lockdown not the other way around.That's a failure of Government.

The methodology the government is using to share the food is also not clear. Same with the cash transfer. It's not transparent enough. The local government should be involved as they are closer to the people and there has to be a verifiable register of people who have benefited for audit purposes. The idea that names of people that collect these palliative will not be released because it will embarrass them is not convincing. If you are not embarrassed to queue and take money/food and have your pictures taken for the entire world to see, how can you then be embarrassed for your name to be released for audit purposes as a beneficiary? This is a failure of Governance. The processes and methodology used is not good enough.

All in All, we as a people need to also help. Government can't do it alone. No matter how small, touch people's lives during these trying period. A cup of rice or beans is not too small. People are going through a lot . God help us all and God bless Nigeria.
