Recently my hp pavilion Dv6000 started developing display problems i mean wen i boot de system will divide and show same screen divided into 6 parts but boots very well, i went to display settings and it automatically adjust the resolution to 724 × 800 which means that the driver is outdated, i went to device manager and updated the driver yes my display went back to normal but after some time it will automatically revert back until i updates drivers

My main problem now is that, the display drivers is on NVIDIA GEFORCE 8400 bla bla bla, if i update it with dis it will not update but wen i choose standard display gn non pnp it will update very well but later revert back and divide the screen into 6, out of anger i formatted de system frm windows 7 to 8 cos i always wanted to upgrade but becos of my files i refuse to

My main problem still remains cos de problem still exists which makes me think if it actually de drivers or another tin, please wit my explanation someone shud be able to understand wat am talking about or i can attach a screenshot

Some site online have these available. You just try google searching. However, if the window 10 is already installed and running and you only need this for activation, then try other activating tools. They are online too

Your problem is with your Graphic card. Seems to me that the Nvidia is the default graphic driver and it is faulty. So everytime you update the Intel HD driver, it works until the next restart. When you restart, the default option is activated.

Your solution is to permanently disable the Nvidia graphic because it is malfunctioning. Seek help online on how to permanently disable the dedicated card.

Also i tried connecting my PS3 controller to my PC, didn't work.

Even after running Driver installer on ScpToolkit it says;
"A fatal error occurred. Consult the logs for details"

Ideally, your computer is expected to automatically install the necessary drivers (unless yours isn't plug and play). Since the problem you're facing is solely driver based, you can get this program called 'USB DEVIEW'. It shows you all drivers including hidden ones on your laptop. Search for similar drivers of the controller that are present and uninstall all of them. Restart the PC and try installing your driver again. Make sure you check properly as the problem you're having is most likely driver conflicts.

Unfortunately, that's all I can think of concerning that... I hope you're able to fix it some other way or you should just try another controller if available.


That reminds me, don't you think the driver updating software (i.e scptool kit ) you're using might be responsible for the failed installation? Why not try and see whether you can get the driver for that controller online an install it manually?

Good morning sir. I am using Dell latitude e6440 core i5. I switched it off and travelled and on my return, the laptop refused to start. The power button will show power on for about 5 seconds and go off without any component of the system responding. Ì dont know what the problem is.

1. Uninstall the driver and use it like that.

2. Go to hp site, download the old or new driver from hp

3. Reflow the graphic chip

4. Replace the graphic chip

5. If this model can be converted, do a discrete to UMA graphic conversion (note you must be a chip level engr to do this accurately)

After restarting, the pc developed all kinds of issues like aiplane mode ON by default, windows volume service not working, bluetooth driver disappeared and would not allow access to phones and other devices connected to it.
I have tried all kinds of trouble shooting methods all to no avail. Kindly help.

HP doesn't have up to 8 blinking code ,only 6 unless it is continuous blinking which stands for insufficient power.

I'll advise you take to another engr,it is probably a motherboard issue.
Major market in Lagos are on Lock down now but if you're not in Lagos,post your base let me see if I have someone there is can recommend.

Do a system restore.

If you still want to keep the user name you can install back the missing drivers.

I was able to connect the controller but it doesn't connect via Bluetooth. Even though i updated my Bluetooth driver

Also guys would a Laptop with Nvidia Geforce Mx130 with 2GB vram be able to run FIFA 19 without lagging? Cuz mine lags

If your bluetooth has no problem connecting to other bluetooth devices, then it's still your controller. Either your controller is malfunctioning or it only works with higher bluetooth versions.

Most old and fairly new laptops come with bluetooth 2.0.
