is it possible to get reported by a neighbor for cooking with our thick smell foodstuff
My lecturer said she was reported and 911 was called because the oyinbo said she wanted to commit suicide with the way the food smelt. School mgt dismissed issue nd our lecturer won the "case".

Funny case, US has that ' in your face' attitude. UK is a bit conservative/reserved.

In February myself and the other housemates received a letter of apology in advance from the local council apologising for inconveniences that might be caused the council plan to pull down a dilapidated structure just in front of my house.

It all depends though. If you heat palm oil for example, and the smell leaks out of your apartment, it could affect those with Asthma. Some neighbors would also think it's a natural or propane gas leaks and call emergency. I won't say they are reporting you, but they are just concerned for their own and your own safety.

January kept rolling by, my focus for the year was to save enough to be able to bring my family over. I was working bank shifts and agency shift every where but i made sure i did not exceed the 22 hours per week. In me estimate i would need about £5000 for visa application for three members of family ( IHS £400/year for 3 years £1200, Visa £400). I had to rent another house, a two bedroom apartment about £1100/cm, furnishing, about £2000. one way flight about £2000. All, i was saving up to have £10,000. I was not sending money to my wife, she was self sustaining, while i focused on getting everyone over. She was scheduled to write the UKVI ielts in March 2019, then three of them would go for the mandatory tb testing at IOM in April/May.

Wow.

Seems it'll be difficult to travel with the family at the initial instance?

Your write-ups are concise and detailed I must add. Thanks.

Thanks for taking time out of your I'm sure, very busy schedule to document your experience in detail and very articulately. Will be following.

It is possible, but you will not be able to use the accommodation provided by the trust for the family. I have a friend that came with hubby and daughter. She stayed in the accommodation but the family was with her relatives in another town. After the OSCE, she got a house for the family to move back together. Her daughter was schooling in the other town during the OSCE, when the family moved in together, she got another school for her. It's government responsibility to provide school for the children once you have made the application.

I have another friend that moved with her son, no relatives. Before she came, she has identified with a church, church members helped her to secure accommodation and sometimes helped her to look after the son when she was preparing for OSCE. She quickly got a car, because she was from a Caribbean country that drive same way as UK, she was still using her home country driving driving license.

My point is, everything is possible, it all depends on your level of support.
