I sincerely dont understand some responses. By all account if there were post op issues, I do not imagine any sane man would want to deliberately harm the wife, all things being equal. So why would you plan to do this if the surgery, which by the way is routine, was successful. Medically a woman can have sex a week post uncomplicated CS op. So what's all the hue about 6 months except of course you want to use this as some form of punishment. If there are some complications this would be known to the two parties and sex would be the last thing they would want until full recovery

Is this simply to show you are a badass or what.

I don't keep friends. So I'm always at home. Our baby understands me more than anyone because if she's crying and refuses to be soothed by her mother, she would stop crying once her mother angrily dumps her on me. It's only breastfeeding that our baby can't get from me. I know so much about medical things and wife would consult me first before applying anything on the baby. Financially, it can be said that I'm the one working for the salary she's receiving monthly (you can't understand this aspect) and we only spend my own salary.

So, does she wants me to get intimacy from somewhere else?

There are two things that can b the reason:

(1) She probably feels pain during sex due to not been wet enough. If she actualy complain of such once in a while then ensure you increase the pre-intimacy and work it out with her.

(2) Generally, women requires time to heal after given birth. The baby stress is new to her and she needs time to get over it. B patient with her and don't initiate sex for a while. Let her see you as not concern with sex then she herself will come back to ask for it when she truly needs it.

Once baby enters marriage it changes somethings.

Kindly, b patient with her and don't see other women outside your marriage ooo...

Marriage changes people and does is pregnancy. In my own case its different in the sense that i was there with my wife all through the process because just like the OP thats our first child.

So i went in to the counselling section with my wife and the doctors inform us that after the CS it will take 3 to 6 months for the womb and her body to heal completely.

I understood it. As it was my first experience with of having a child of my own so it was for her too.

She did the CS and after like 3 months i wanted to habe sex as man but she quickly reminded me that it will be risky and the stitches on the lower abdomen might loosen up because of the thrusting from me.

Instead she decided to give mw some head and i held on just like that till about 5 months by then she has healed completely.

Then i devored her.

Marriage is all about understanding,love and tolerance.

If not you CANNOT DO IT!!!!

Different people exhibit a particular behavior because of different reasons. I her case, we don't know the reason behind her actions because she has refused to communicate with her husband.

It might be that she has always been a person who was not really interested in sex. A lot of women have sex because they want to have babies especially African women and it might be so her case. Now that she has gotten a baby, for her, sex can wait until there is need for more babies.

It might be that she has not really enjoyed sex with her husband. So the CS and child birth presented her with much needed opportunities to quit sex at least for the mean time.

It might be as a result of the negative psychological effects she passed through due to the Cs and stress involved in childbirth. This can temporarily remove the sex drive in a woman.

She might be indirectly looking for more attention from the husband. Women always think they deserve more love and attention from the husband whenever they give birth to a child for the man especially the first child.

She might also be avoiding getting pregnant immediately after giving birth through cs. She needs time to heal.

Whatever the case might be, her refusal to talk with the husband will surely make the situation worse if the husband is not a very patient person. I pray that the man should exercise more understanding and patience.

I always tell men to stop begging any woman for sex. It's wrong. Stop! You can seduce a woman by words or actions but don't beg.

Sometimes the way to a woman is not just by words but by actions, if you offer to take care of the baby for just a day or even give her the weekend off it will make a difference. You come across as selfish in your post, I wonder if your wife thinks so too.

It’s great that you’re bonding with your baby but do you also bath the baby? Feed? change the diaper? Are you awake at 2.00am to feed the baby? Do you get to sleep for only 3 hours a day? Have your hormones being put through the ringer for a year?

If she’s a first time mother then you’ve to be patient she had a CS and your child is just 3 months. Also, you need to stop looking at your marital sex from a perspective of its only your right to enjoy. Sex should be enjoyed by both of you and if there’s a problem why one of you isn’t then it’s your problem too.

If your wife’s happiness is your priority and not just your libido then give her a day, a weekend off, or however long her CS scar will heal. Tell her to take time off to take care of herself, let her take a break and she will come back to you fully recharged.

Ideally, you shouldn’t even be thinking about sex, she had a CS just three months ago!!!

@ OP, pls don't allow the evil advices given here make you loose your marriage. Most of the people advising you negatively are home breakers. They tell things they can never do to their wives.

@ Op, pls understand your wife, it took her body months to prepare for the child bearing, and again u said she had d baby Tru CS, I need you to understand that her body has gone through emotional and psychological stress and it's gonna take some time before the body adjust back to its formal nature.
Another thing is that child bearing reduces sex urge in some women, maybe she falls into that category of people.
And again u said she delivered Tru CS, being a first time mum, she might be afraid that if she engage in frequent sex, maybe d stitches from the section might cut open and she wouldn't want to go through any form of surturing again.

The best solution is that you should sit her down, have a heart to heart discussion with her, let her understands that u feel she's pain she's going tru that she's not alone, encourage and support her emotionally, so that she can recover fast from the child bearing trauma.

Lastly, follow her to any govt clinic around to have her do family planing, who knows she might even be afraid of getting pregnant again while the first child is still small.

**Remember, you own your marriage and it's only u that can make the marriage work.

I understand your plight, my wife refused me sex since when she was 7 months pregnant until after 4 months of giving birth, at that stage a woman's body is not responding sexually, she needs your full support, she is still recovering from the pains and changes that comes with child birth. Please wait, after five months from child birth she will have her groove back. You will not need to beg...please i strongly advice please do not think of having the intercourse from someone else the consequences might crash your home... Take charge and control your libido, that is one big quality of a husband.
