Nowenuse:You might be right about Igbos secceding. The Igbos have more at stake in Nigeria My unaided estimates, for want of verifiable statistics, show that in Lagos, Igbo investment is not less than N300 trillion; it is double of that in Abuja at about N600 trillion. In Kano and Kaduna, Igbo investments run up to N10 trillion respectively; while in Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa states, Igbo investment run into N5 trilion respectively. In Plateau State Igbo investment is hovering over N15 trillion! I can confidently add that there is no state in Nigerian where Igbo investments in business do not exceed N5 billion..... Read more at: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/07/the-igbos-have-more-at-stake-in-nigeria/ Igbos-n45-trn-investments-north The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has cautioned the Igbo in South eastern Nigeria against maltreating northerners, warning that such could endanger the multi-billion Naira investment of the Igbo in the North. ACF said the ongoing controversy in the East on issuance of identity cards to persons of northern extraction was uncalled for and estimated that the Igbos’ investments in Kaduna, Kano, and Jos alone amounted to about N45 trillion. The Deputy Secretary-General of ACF, Abubakar Umar said this while addressing members of the South-South/South-East Arewa Coalition, who paid a courtesy call on ACF on Thursday. According to him, statistics available to them indicated that the Igbos’ investments in Kaduna, Kano, and Jos alone amounted to N45 trillion and with such huge investments in just three States of the north, the Easterners have no reason to maltreat northerners doing businesses in the East, stressing that, “If the table turns, it could be disastrous to their investments. https://www.nairaland.com/1820688/igbos-n45-trn-investments-north |

Iamgrey5:Did I ever say the owner of Nasco was from Plateau state? Just that he and his family have been living in the state for decades and Jos was the first place the company was established and that is the reason why the Headquarters was cited in Jos. Jos was the birthplace of the company and that is why the company is regarded as an Indigenous West African company and not a British company like Procter & Gamble. |

Nowenuse:Before this thread I've seen some of your anti Yoruba posts on this forum so all you've done here is no surprise to me. The only suprise I've had so far reading your posts is when you said many of your people share same view with you about my tribe. That statement alone is an eye opener to me, cos I can't believe that my tribe is not in the good book of a group of people I'm always hoping and praying that someday God would liberate them from the snare of fowler of the barbaric fulani herdmen killing them in their ancestral land. Not saying this for your aproval or whatever but I once shed tears for your people when I saw gory pics of their corps, how can such group of people now be hating on my people when there had never been any known conflict between us.I only hope that what we get to read about our respective tribes won't turn us to heartless human beings, what we write on here have consequences that go beyond internet. About the secession group you said you are planing to float by next year I realy hope you stick by your words so that some of us who read your posts would know that you are not an empty vessel, because honestly this is what I think you are, do not also forget the crops you planed exporting to Europe or America. When you begin these please remember to update us on Nairaland. Thanks! |

Nowenuse:Bro stop giving me silly mentions while making silly claims that cannot be substantiated with any evidence. We have dealt with this your notion of Platuea economy alleged vibrancy several pages back. Jos does not have any industrial complex, it was a mining town until the mining industry in Nigeria collapsed after crude oil was discovered in the south/south region of Nigeria. And I have seen how you are desperately trying to look for "proofs" online to support your fictional claims on the internet to the extent that you are using the opinion of D Banj's wife as hard facts to support your arguments in the field of economics. I thought our argument was in the field of economics, so economical data released by reputable institutions should be provided to support your notion that Plateau state is more industrialized and developed than Oyo, Ogun state like you claimed not the opinion of the wife of musician. What you are doing now is equivalent to an after thought to safe face after you have made ridiculous claims that you cannot substantiate. |

Redcrafton:Stop typing trash Abeg .. Aworis are a sub group of the Yorubas . Do you even know what Awori is ?? Get a book and read abeg How can you say a land perfectly encircled by the Yorubas isn't Yoruba land ?? How is that even possible . Mind you the place with Eleko is even largely the Lagos Island . What about the Egba and Ijebu owned places . Are places like Epe and Ikorodu for example not part of Lagos state ![]() And even the Western hinterland was part and parcel of the Lagos protectorate Abeg . Of course when the whites came to the West , it made sense that they would land in Lagos because of the coast ![]() Imagine some one from faraway landlocked Igbo land that share no boundary with my region coming to drag Lagos with me. Smh !!! |

Covidodo:TY Danjuma's language has changed over the years! He's no longer an apologetic one Nigerianist. Haven't u see his comments recently? Yakubu Gowon is the only idiiot my people have and we will publicly disown him latest by next year. Such a shameless old man. Although nor be he fault. 1) He grew up in Zaria (Hausa land). 2) He is just too proud to admit that his one Nigeria legacy which he lived all his life for is now a failure. My prayer is that God keeps him alive for the next 5 years to see what his one Nigeria will become. Someone like him deserves an agonizing death in regrets. People like TY have realized their mistakes and taken a U-turn, but not Gowon. Which Ekweremadu are u talking of? Same one that Igbo youths almost lynched abroad? Igbos have clearly shown that they are not in support of their one-Nigerianist leaders. You people on the other hand still worship and idolize Tinubu. Make una pray welwell make Buhari give Tinubu person presidency by 2023, if not we go take laugh make una deactivate una accounts for nairaland oo. U people would be the laughing stock of the world. ![]() |

Covidodo:Stop spewing garbage...Is Ikwerre not a sub group if Igbo? Very soon you will come with a tales by the moonlight, where some Ikwerres in your house are saying they are not Igbos. Do you even know what Ikwerre means? You have been busted when you claim people are running away from a region...and you have surfaced here... shamed with brutal images. |

Nowenuse:Bro you are impossible thb Jos is not his birth place, he was born in Eritrea. He is just an investor in Jos, just like Dangote, P&G, Larfarge, Nestlé etc are investors in Yoruba land. All these companies have operation centres all over in Yoruba land and their market valuation in the Nigerian stock exchange is in the trillions. P&G operates from ibadan and Ogun Larfarge from Ogun state and Lagos Nestle from Ogun and Lagos Dangote sugar, flour from Ogun. So what exactly are you braging about? |

Redcrafton:Honestly I don't care whether Ikweree is Igbo or not and that is not my problem . Have you ever met an Awori person who claimed not to be Yoruba ?? My dad is an Egba man from Abeokuta while my mother is Awori from Lagos and I've always lived in Ibadan . I don't understand why you are having HBP because of Lagos.

wowcatty:our too liberal politicians and elites are the problem, am sorry to say this perhaps allowing dangote to build his refinery in Lagos may even hurt us more in future, even though some of our yoruba elites have strong stakes in it. We need to redefine our agenda as a yoruba nation, igbos hardly give their lands to strangers reason you cannot find so many huge investments from outsiders there. As we keep on attracting these investments, we need to on the other hand redefine the rules of engagement. Yes we are doing a lot for ourselves but this too much liberality is making them think we are fools and exposing us to unnecessary threats from enemies within. The multinational and foreign investments makes more sense than all these land grabbers who call themselves investors and still want to rule over us. We need to rethink. |

Where did you see region in my post? Yoruba is the name of our land before new names like Lagos protectorate, a name given to Yorubaland by the colonists. Aworis are Yoruba and from Lagos/Ogun just as Ijebu and others. The Yoruba Oranmiyan descendants are the only people that came from Bini and they are Yoruba who spoke Yoruba language, they have nothing to do with the modern day people called Edo. I come from Osun or Ilorin but it's a family affair, go and claim states in your region too, that's why fingers have sizes to work together as one family. See what Yoruba matter has done to your life, you don't know that Abuja is in a different region from Borno and that Abuja belongs to Gwaris and Borno Kanuris. If you are intelligent, now that people are getting more xenophobic is the time to go and get your region ready and lay off of Yoruba, there won't even be world food program to feed you when it happens! If not for Nigeria, we would probably not have known each other . Lagos has been a Yoruba city since the time immemorial and it would remain so till the end of time . Your cries or lamentation on Nairaland would not change this fact . At this rate , you'd just rupture an aneurysm . Nah so una covet Lagos reach ![]() |

I don't blame the guy though, this is what happens when we allow all kinds of people in our region and then let them be comfortable too. No one does it and we must start to correct it as soon as we have the opportunity to do so especially the economic collapse that's around the corner. Something tells me that we got this! Covidodo: |
