Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Buhari, died on Friday April 17, weeks after testing positive for Coronavirus.

Kyari tested positive in Abuja and was moved to Lagos for further medical attention but unfortunately passed away weeks later.

Nigerians including Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state, Dino Melaye, Ben Bruce. Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika, and many others have taken to social media to mourn and react to Kyari's death. Read their reactions below.

When I chatted with him exactly on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, he assured me his health was fine and that he would faithfully take the treatments. But God always knows best. Sincere condolences to the Kyari family and the Government of Nigeria. Adieu Mallam Abba Kyari.

Senator Dino Melaye, He spoke sensibly with a message for all, not all those eye service condolence.

Everyone is claiming shocked, He died because he prefers a private facility against government warning that all covid -19 cases be treated in government facilities. He should have quarantine himself immediately he came from London but No, he prefered to share the virus to people around him first, he could have infected the president.

Can't you see them all uniting to mourn his loss? They have dropped PDP/APC aside to mourn the loss of one of their fellow comrades. The one thing that unites Nigerian politicians more than blood, is the collective stealing of our commonwealth. They only quarrel amongst themselves when it is time to decide who has control of the bag of maize. After that, they are one and the same.
