Wow, Newcastle are coming for the premier league

Amanda Starveley, the lady financial fixer behind the takeover of Manchester City by Middle Easterners, is also the financial fixer working on the Middle Eastern takeover of Newcastle. Men that lady is the true Iron lady. Impressive for a former model.

We are talking about Basketball and not football!!

We don't have the talent or infrastructure for basketball like we do for football...

As it stands, there are 10 NBA players of Nigerian origin still eligible to play for us .. If we put a lot of efforts to get them, believe me,it's totally worth it!

I'm not against calling up foreign borns. They're equally Nigerian and deserve a shot at the national teams as much as our local borns. What I'm against is calling a guy with no apparent roots to Nigeria, who has (most probably) never been to Nigeria talk more of living in it for the 15 years our constitution prescribes for naturalization. I realize that we aren't there yet in terms of local basketball quality but hiring mercenaries to represent us will not solve the problem.

If we want good basketball teams, then let us get good coaches (foreign or local), and good facilities and league structures. Hiring mercs to make us look good would only amount to artificial development and will surely prove counterproductive to the development of the sport in Nigeria in the long run. There are no shortcuts to genuine development.

NB: It is possible that proof may emerge that the Spencer guy truly has biological roots to Nigeria, if that is the case, then he has as much rights to vie for a spot in the teams as anybody else. I made this post in the absence of any such evidence.

It's the same with that of other countries... The individual must have lived in Nigeria for at least 15 years among other things...

My point is that there are exception for the rule when it comes to sport, otherwise we won't be seeing Nigerians representing other countries that they have no links with..
Nigeria too has had American athletes represent her internationally before...

Laws differ by country. There are expedited processes for those with special talents. Whether in science or sports.

Those "American" athletes have Nigerian heritage. Which athlete has represented Nigeria without Nigerian roots?

I read Brugges rejected a £10m offer from Dortmund for Dennis, with an eye on a windfall from Newcastle who has also shown interest in the player.

I watch football not stats. Saka is an express way against a speedy winger, a tricky winger and or a bully. Defensively Saka can't lace the boots of Brandon Williams of Manchester United, the least rated(though bkus of his age) left back in England's pecking order of natural left backs
leave them mk dem dey dwell on hype n negativity always. Imagine saka as a lb against wolves adama traore lol

Can you name the defenders?

Besides everybody knows Tomori's weakness which is that he doesn't have the frame for a Center back. If Saka becomes Arsenal's first choice LB next season, forget it
saka is and will remain a makeshift lb in arsenal though i wont be surprised if he retains the spot cus arsenal is a mickey mouse club with no ambition.

Going forward saka hv been impressive thia season as a mkshift lb buh defensive wise he is awlful. Even in the super eagles if he joins i wont want to have in in that position cus he will be easily bullied with no mercy in african football.

Can you remember any defensive mistake he made in his matches as a makeshift lb? He provided 4 assists from that position

And Arsenal are not a Mickey Mouse club

are we talking of assist or his primary reaponsibilty as a lb which is to defend?

And yes, arsenal currently is ambitionless and a mickey mouse club

If his assist helped his club to win, what else do you want of him or you don't know how modern fullbacks operate?

Listen, i watch and understand the round leather game wella and as well follow the epl very well. Saka as a makeshift lb hv done decently well this season and for him not been a natural lb his shortcomings are overlooked but aside that defensively he is porous.

Having decent games again the teams u mentioned abive doesnt mean he is has done enough to make the england team to next yrs euro. His best bet is the english u21 team for now

if williams is in arsenal i bet you that he will be a regular starter. For saka to hold down that position in arsenal this season before the break justifies my claim that arsenal na mickey mouse club

what do you mean by sentiment? I dont hate arsenal as a team cus i dont see them as a challenge to united which is my beloved team. Also i never told u that saka is a bad player but as a lb back he is not up to the level of LBs i consider good. He is just decent and as a makeshit lb he has done well so far

you need to grow up cus u re spitting shit as a kid. Who told my disposition about him is based on the fact that he want to stick with england?

For ur infor he has accept to play for us buh everything is kept off the media for now. Soon u will hear that.

Also in the current super eagles set up we have decent lbs in aina and jamilu and with saka about to join he is an option in that position but if i were to be rohr i wont risk him in that position but will push him forward to battle with chukwueze and co for a place in any of the flanks. Saka defensively i doubt can cope with the rigors and brutality of african football

I hope you know Brandon and Saka are both the same age and are both amateur. When did Saka suddenly became a professional left back . You are calling a guy that kept Adama Traore at bay during Man utd last meeting with Wolves in the FA cup with a superb defensive performance an amateur LB. Someone that has been playing left back longer than when Saka started Playing LB.

Oga you are a funny man

But you won't know because you don't follow Leicester

I'm sorry, which chillwell are you talking about. is it the same chillwell or there is another one somewhere we don't know about.

For you information , Shaw is not finished. How can you even say a 24 year old guy is finished . If you watch his games since he came back from injury, you will know he's not.

And lastly , Williams is a competition. infact, out if all of them, he's even the better player when it comes to defending in one on one situation.
