True. Organic at times still have their shortfall. The urine could be infected.

I have the seedlings in Lokoja. But if you are within those Igbo areas, you will likely get it from there

I am in the South West.

Rabbit urine is one the best natural organic fertilizer and when you add some other stuff like ginger etc it becomes a weapon of destruction to insect .. from experience it's very potent. If it's not so bella farm will not be buying a liter of rabbit urine 75# and they are ready to buy up to 10,000 liters at a go. I'm living testimony

Please between Nihort sombo and habanero pepper ( either hybrid or improved) which one is better for dried grounded pepper production an d more so, between Nihort sombo and hybrid sombo which one is more preferable in term of disease resistance, yield marketability etc. And also can anybody recommend any good hybrid sombo for me. Thanks

oga that is aphids attack on your farm .. you can see the younger leaves are folding..

you can see the similarities on how the leaves are folding with the picture I'll post below..

and I'm sure by now.. you should be seeing black ants in large numbers on some of your pepper plants

I haven't really observed black ants on my farm except on d nursery bed (small ants) but on the heap where I transplanted the pepper no black ants.

Is the black ants "aphids"
Thanks

no the ants will be farming on the aphids.. cyperforce will solve this problem.. but I know of a organic solution that is better.. better act fast.. aphids will destroy the foliage of your plant If you dont..

Your plant looks sickly. That's why it's shedding flowers.

I think the best safety measures we discovered in our farm Is spraying a good systemic insecticide weekly,Many of these stubborn and mischievous pest are so small to detect easily and they also hide under the leafs to compound the problem, you may be deceived in thinking that all is well until it is too late,,they are the no 1 carriers of diseases,,weekly application will make sure that all pest that is stupid enough to leave to whole green leaves in the bush to bite my pepper it will be it's last supper
.
Thanks. Those tiny pests can be bad. Some farmers won't even know what is happening. How far about that fertigation with liquid manure.

1. Well fertilized plants
2. No water stress
3. Spray insecticides like abamectin, emamectib benzoate, Chlorfenapyr, Tihans (spirotetramat and flubendiamide), neen oil, acetamiprid etc

4. Spray insecticides under leaves
(with this mtd, u can use lower concentration and still get good result)
5. Overhead irrigation (sprinklers) have been known to reduce whitefly population because they knock off immature stages of whiteflies and other pests. They also knock off spidermites. to avoid foliar diseases, irrigate only in the morning or afternoon to allow time for moisture on leaves to dry out. Whiteflies dealt with my cuke and okra because I was using furrow irrigation and I did not fertilize well.

6. Planting coriander close to your crop will chase whiteflies away. I have not used this yet.

There are many other ways but I believe these ones here will work fine. So far there is no whiteflies on my peppers. But they don't like peppers as they like cucumbers and okra. So I will confirm their effectiveness if I plant these 2 crops again.

Check under the leaves for signs of pests, including very tiny ones. Then spray an insecticide under the leaves. That plant is too small to hold fruits. Remove all those flowers asap.

.
Cypermethrin (Cyper force active ingredient), is a non-systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action. It also exhibits anti-feeding action.
