They are signing new players to their squad.
now they have reactivated my hope that the Redmi Note 9 pro max is going global (and coming to Naija) this month.

If I get disappointed, so be it grin

It is probably going to be the Note 9s and maybe the Mi 10. We just have to keep our fingers crossed...

Posted this a while back. The G90T in the RN8 Pro was also a culprit. As well as P95, G70, A22, P70 and a couple others. From the PC mark scores, the scores were all boosted by as much as 30%. Remove 30% from 280,000.. grin grin

I wonder if the new Dimensity series also have the "sports mode" execution commands. Right when we were beginning to trust MTK, they showed their colours once more. Using fake benchmark scores to mask inefficient SoCs.

Mediatek, oh Mediatek. Just when folks were willing to give Mediatek another chance, Mediatek decide to cheat on benchmarks, too bad.

one thing though: looks like blackshark doesn't have band 28 support. If u rely on glo and ure not in an area with excellent band 3 coverage... that may be a huge problem

All right. Then the last option would be changing region.

I experience similar thing but in this case, it's with the "Google app" When I connect to an high speed wifi(not phone wifi or mifi) it just keeps downloading and consuming data nonstop. I guess, it's a bug.
It's not a bug but settings matter.
✓ Go to play store
✓ Settings
✓ go to `auto-update apps`
✓ You will notice that "auto-update on WiFi only" is the default selection.
✓ Change the option to "do not auto-update apps"
Immediately, you device will stop auto updating of apps on WiFi.

the sports mode was a Huawei thing which treats every app as a benchmark tester giving it the highest performance without optimizing it or saving battery.if you had bothered to read this news from more trusted sites like Android authority or Forbes you would know that it was oppo that was the culprit they cheated the scores although mediatek might have been involved, the snapdragon 765g gave high marks on the reno 3 pro Chinese version, the Helio p95 for the global version which isn't as powerful as the snapdragon gave lower scores which was interpolate. The same issue was discovered with other manufacturers even xaiomi and Samsung has been involved with this in the past. The sport mode added by some companies is just to show the maximum capacity of the chipset which doesn't relate to every day usage if xaiomi had wanted they could have added it to the redmi note 8( I think it's exclusive to mediatek chipsets).
In summary it was the phone manufacturer who enabled it not the chipset maker.

I know. But that's not what I'm talking about. The Google app(not Play Store) keeps consuming data till infinite when connected to a router or something. This only happens when connected to a type of wifi, like those ones used in cyber cafes. One day the stuff consumed up to 2gb at a spot.

yeah. i think that one costs about the same as the op7t though.

It's good to have all the info sha. I wouldn't mind the blackshark myself tbh except for dt band 28 n, more importantly, the sweet sweet notchless display I'm enjoying now cool
