Your best bet is Togo. Very cheap with lots of tourist attraction sites. You'll love it.

Togo is just after Benin but op is also looking for fun. If he had say west Africa, I would have recommended Senegal but Benin is the nearest with much fun. How come almost nobody is mentioning cameroun? If you put Togo and Benin together, I will go for Togo if fun is what am looking for given that the difference in tfare negligible.
