Dear poster, natural and organic moisturisers exist, but they are definitely costly.
You clearly don’t like the feel, give it out to someone who would appreciate it. Dove is poles apart from giving a squeaky clean feel.
About naturalness? Eva can’t be natural too.
So enjoy the cleansing feel of Eva and give the Dove to your friend or sister.
Otherwise just suck it in cheesy

the thing is dermatologists do recommend Dove.

I just finished showering with it and it felt really wierd, like I was using a shower gel(I hate the slimy afterfeel) . I felt like I used body cream to bathe, didn't feel clean, but my skin felt soft. It also didn't lather. But there's no need for cream/body oil after using this soap.

I have a theory for this soap. It's not a cleansing soap, more for moisturising. I don't know how to feel about that. But I will recommend only for night use, not day use.Especially for the fact the ingredients are not natural, I need to do more research

All these dermatologists will recommend anything to you because they are paid by these company to promote their products.

What type of skin do you have?

I had bad experience with both the cream and soap in our hot weather decided to stop using the product.

Soap and cream are hit and miss in this country, especially those imported ones, that is why people have different face colour, face is lighter than body or body is lighter than face.

Dove is a big No for hot weather especially those with oily skin.
Hmm.

So what do you usually think about when choosing bar soap?

What influences your decision to buy a particular brand? Merakhi twoclans

There are larger and maybe better Dove bars than the one you got though. There is the Nutrium brand for people older than you, etc. I think what you got is in the baby league, but it is still good if original.
Why am I talking about soap? shocked

Eva is a mostly natural soap, made of lye(sodium hydroxide) and oils.

What i see in the ingredients for Dove is a lot of artificial surfactants. I think that is why it is not called a soap, but a beauty bar.

Yes I do. What country was is made in? one thing so many people don't know is that so different countries make their own dove. The USA dove is more expensive and Germany is cheaper.

I recommend the USA dove, you can melt it in a microwave and add anything you want.

I prefer the Europe to USA to UAE in this order
If there is a Naija one I would not buy it (cos I will suspect they will want it to make skin like milk lipsrsealed)

[s]It seems you are a dove seller, every damn body knows it makes you more darker in hot weather.

You keep bringing up different departments in Nigeria that endorse this dove soap.

We can go up and down, dove soap does not make nobody lighter.

In fact the ingredients of the soap is mainly for white skin.

You wrote dove makes you lighter and whiter then it is not a bleaching soap, basically you should have written that it is a bleaching soap.

From experience in this hot weather, it darkens the skin, the cream is the worst that one makes you smell like cheese and do more skin damage.

In cold weather, the soap makes your skin chocolate, I can go on and on, used the soap and the cream in both hot and very cold weather different results.

My verdict, dove is not suitable for hot weather[/s]

You are the reason why I responded here
You posted like all those people who are against having dark skin. What the heck do you mean by saying you got darker!!? A black person? What soap do you now use, pray tell? Makari? A toner? A brightening one? I want to know cos I know you don’t use Dove.
I am a doctor and have never sold a thing in my life. I also don’t use Dove. (I did, many years ago. And many people I know use it as their default cheap soap type). And it is great. You spoke with authority while being wrong and you are doing it again . UAE is hot and Dove is made there, so what gives?
Your verdict gets an F9 from me shaa.
And I mentioned only dermatology ie skin? Why are you making up stuff? To “win”?
I am not a damn body

Khiaa you see what I told you before?

Dove is one of the best soaps you can buy, its expensive at 5 US dollars for 2 bars if you're lucky but it's worth it. The bar is full of moisturizers, it doesn't leave a film on your skin which can make you feel dry and unclean like most soap do.

The bonus with dove soap is it gets rid of feminine odor. This soap moisturizes your whole body and does wonders for your face. This soap is recommended by American dermatologists. It's the only soap I use, it makes my body feel soft all over.

If your body is responding negatively to the soap you may be allergic to it or purchasing a fake brand. If your dove soap is making your skin darker or lighter, get rid of it because it's a fake.

Dove is imported wasnt made for black people skin, you will get more darker especially with the amount of fakes in the market.

The soap I use is 3500-4200 for one (much cheaper when I buy outside of Naija)
It is made up of only organic coconut, argan, shea bla bla bla. Pure moisturizing...doesn’t last so long. So it is natural all right, but costly.
No natural organic moisturizing soap would be cheap. DIYs is another option you can explore.
I still say, give out your Dove since you clearly hate it’s nonnaturalness. I would rather use that than use all natural bleaching soaps shaa.
@lockdown, I am in clinic

Hi Fummi kiss

I am actually a brand prostitute when it comes to soaps .The weather influences my decision alot.I can go from E45,dudu osun,Irish spring or st Luke's .The weather determines for me.

I only use Dove during harmattan. Dove is a No No when the weather is hot.You can actually put it away and use it during the harmattan period. It actually has good lather when you use it with warm water.

Most products we buy in the market are fake, you buy the original today it will work good on your skin, buy same product tomorrow it will give you another result

I don't think there is any man or woman in Nigeria that will say , I have used a particular product for 10 yrs without changing or trying another one, some will give you a long list of soaps and creams they have used just in 5 yrs
