This disease will pass and US will still remain #1, China/Russia #2. It's not going to be British, or any other country that comes up with a vaccine. In fact, they are all collaborating at the moment and testing vaccines. For example, the company that financed the successful Ebola vaccines was British, but the research company is American, with it's main research unit is in Israel. Scientists, even American and Chinese, work together on cures (the lab in Wuhan was partly financed by the US). Even on coronavirus, despite all the political back-and-forth, the scientists are in constant touch working on this and sharing results. They let the politicians do what they do -- talk! In Africa we are always caught up in this all-or-nothing-who-win-who approach; that's because most of us have never known a good life and need to WIN somehow.
