Netflix is not an alternative to dstv. They are different. U can subscribe for DStv and let it play whatever program u want from morning till night at no extra cost. Lest say u subscribe to the cheapest DStv plan which is N2,000, u can watch news, cartoons, africa magic, telemundo, selected sports channels, etc for as much as u want.

With Netflix the cheapest plan is around N3, 600. Ur gonna need a fast internet to be able to stream and u don't get news or sports, just movies and shows (and they have a lot). If u stream a lot u might end up spending more than N15, 000 month on data depending on what video quality u set it to.

U are downloading on high video quality. Change ur video quality to standard. Funny thing is of u are watching on phone there's hardly any difference between standard and high quality (unless ur using a tablet with bigger display).

No doubt about that. DStv is sadly the necessary evil since no worthy competitor has presented itself yet.

Good for u. I only occasionally watch Netflix on my phone and normal quality is good enough for me as I don't see much difference with high quality. Where u will see difference is on smart TV which is where I watch the most.

I never heard of 1,500 unlimited night plan, even if it exists and u download ur Netflix movies on ur phone or tablet, what happens when u have visitors at home? Do u play movies for them to watch on ur phone? It's cheaper to subscribe the cheapest DStv plan and then complement it with Netflix. U cannot download Netflix movies on tv, u have to stream it.

I guess ur own tv doesn’t support usb stick or external hard drive. Hard drive is 6k to 5k fill the moderfuvker with different movies and choose what suit u

I'm pretty sure u don't have more movies on ur hard drive than I do. Which ones u want, just name it I got it. Even have some movies in 4k HDR. Some of my 4k HDR movies are 13-18gb in size for 1 movie.

I have loads of movies on my hard drive even looking for new movies to download every day. Still cannot be an alternative to DStv. I don't watch movies on DStv (why would I when I can just download it on torrent at better quality). But still Netflix or movie downloads can never be a replacement for DStv. Movies go tire u.
