Same happened to me too, I just realized I was unable to login and it was saying wrong password.......pls house how can I get that account blocked even if I can't get it back....... please someone should help

If you remember any of your friend who were on that list, quickly reach out to them, tell them to report your account that it was hacked by clicking on the hackers name

Tell at least 4 people to report it that way

2nd step, Facebook will keep the account on hold, and in few days time you'll be asked to provide an i.d , either a selfie but any I.d of your choice, than you can have your account back

Then you quickly change your password

And beware of any link people will send you to click, especially when it had to do with you password

If you don’t have the phone number, then it’s gone...... Just report to Facebook so they can close the account.

Also when you open a new FB, make sure your privacy settings is military else dem go still hack am.

They tried to hack my account sometime ago. I no get the number and email again because it’s over a decade just like yours but I still recovered thanks to my privacy settings.....

Just forget the account dear, that's what happened to me, had to create a new Facebook account to avoid dragging Facebook account with hackers. Luckily, my family and friends already knew that I was the one. I've had that old Facebook account since 2011, only for one hacker to collect it.. Just had to let it go

Even though you click link, that 2 authenticator won't allow a direct login to you acct.. I dey use am too

I notice the person changed the name to "Tom Hansen," he is posing as someone in California USA. He is using the account for Only God knows.

I couldn't do "forget password " because I used a phone number when creating back then, and the number got lost, I was in Js2 then. It's painful actually, I also didn't include an email.

Does anybody know how I can retrieve the account please, or has any one experienced this.
Floreat gee. Well since you didn't include an email the only solution is to retrieve your stolen SIM, but even this is plausible because the line will probably have been barred. I think you can also get a Facebook account hacker to hack it back for you or you should negotiate with this hacker

If the never change the number or email attached to the FB account.

People still don't understand that internet has evolved. it's not about having phones without knowing what to do with them, how to prevent yourself from issues like this and others.
Majority of us see software updates on our devices and ignore it, when the people that gave the update have many reasons for it.
Anyways back to the topic....you just got phished which is as a result of clicking links, i guess someone begged you to vote for them and other stories wich is part of their social engineering tricks. they pry on someone's weakness sometimes.
You can't get it back soon because the number is not available and even if the number was still active any wise scammer would remove the number immidiately and probably change the username wich i thought wasn't possible untill last year. By username i don't mean your profile name but the name Facebook gives you that you can see via URL.
Best I'd advise now is to abandon the account, tell your friends to report it so Facebook can block it. Else they scammer if he's computer literate enough would download the whole if your fb account then after hitting his maga and cash out will delete all those photos and info he put and replace it back with your own pictures to cover his tracks temporarily and with Facebook having the option to change dates on post it would make it more realistic.
I'll also advise you to do the 2 step authentication that has been advised by others above me in all your accounts, wether it's bank or social media it would prevent a lot of issues as sometimes we all make mistake of using the same login credentials on almost everything.
Lastly whoever is reading this, all I've said is just a summary of things i know. So I'll advise you all to take a crash course in cyber security, download a PDF and read through, also go online and read recent stories of scammers and how to perpetrate their acts. Sometimes to catch a killer you need to think like one.
I also think this forum as it is i big enough to have a cyber security or fraud awareness page where we share new formats used by criminals and scammers to enable others who are not fortunate enough to understand this things get to know from a laymans talk.

The rule is you should not use your phone number as password and you should not click on any link you coma across..

Better tell your friends in that FB account to help you report to Facebook

if your phone is stolen then they can reset your password with your sim.

Your close friend could steal your account and reset the password with your phone and then sell it.
Clicking on link will help the do what we calll phishing and you will hand the your password straight away without knowing. It is called “phishing”.

Also a person that has access to your email.

The only way to prevent all this. Is to be vigilant( being aware of how people steal password), don’t be paranoid, knowing how it works is what saves you.

You should have contacted a friend on your list to help you report the account to Facebook.
You might not get it back, but it will prevent such person using your account to perpetrate wicked acts.

Also, authorize 2 steps authentication with your new account.
It will be difficult to log in except you authorize it.
So...
Shine your eyes.

Ask a friend who was on your former account to report it to Facebook.

Impersonation.

Facebook will take it up from there.

I don't know how many accounts I have eeported to Facebook.

It disgusts me.

Also, enable 2 step authentication on your facebook.

It will even be difficult for you to login with another browser, because the moment Facebook detects someone trying to login, it will send you a message asking if you are tge ine who wants to login.

So, using password is useless except you accept.

Go report the account to Facebook and back it up with enough evidence, they are going to deactivate the account and ask you to provide your valid id inorder to reopen it for you......I tried to look out for the name in order to help you report the ACC as fake but I can't find the actual profile...

I deleted my Facebook messenger app because anytime I put on my data, I will receive call from unknown caller. if I picked the call I will hear the caller speaking foreign language.

actually, without my phone number, I can't access my account.

For a month I was logged out because I lost my sim, I had to retrieve it with 1k for that sole purpose
