Sorry please be given us some stocks peak and those good dividend paying stocks

How are dividend payments going to be? I it via my wallet then I use it to buy more shares or I just withdraw it.....

Thanks

On dividends, some pay monthly but mostly in cents, most pay quarterly, some twice a year, some once..go this site street dot com..they have a calender where you see which stock pays in which month and which week sef....you can even organize it so well that you can be earning weekly dividends. It will take a lot of hard work from you to work it out

The dividend is sent to your wallet straight away...very efficient system...no signature specimen,no registrar wahala,no bank filling forms...Nigeria is in trouble..lolThen from your wallet[it is written..AVAILABLE TO TRADE] you can buy new shares...but if you want to withdraw, you exchange dollar to naira...then withdraw. You cannot withdraw dollar.

Good day to the house. Is there a way we can keep this thread going?

I have a question. When withdrawing, what is the usual exchange rate, CBN rate or Aboki rate. Thanks.

For anyone who withdrew recently, at what rate were you paid for Naira/dollar

This is a fresh thread and its obvious that we are all like minded people, even though some of us like myself are new in this investment stuff.

Please let's just come together as one and make this money together, tutoring and helping one another make best decisions when it comes to investment!!!

We could just make this thread our own and make the best out of it... Thanks.

I just registered with Trove so I’m waiting to get verified before trading. Does anyone know how long it takes?

I use Chaka...it took me two weeks...the international verification came fast....the local verification came later because it is actually Nigeria s CSCS that verifies you and gives a number for trading or investing.. So Trove will wait...you will wait...till it comes through

I think you will not find all the stocks you want in these Nigerian fintechs...because i believe the deal with their foreighn partners is to go with companies that are worth $1billion and above. Many penny stocks are under this. Again it depends on what you mean by penny stocks..$1,$3 or $10 dollar stocks..

But generally,if have the know how[trading] you can delve into them. Me, i am a dividend investor

I am not yet an expert in picking stocks...sometimes i do follow follow...or if i see a stock with good fundamentals rising...i buy it...once i hit 10 to 15% gain i sell it...then wait for another. Otherwise i am a dividend investor...

You're doing very well...

I heard you say fractional shares...

Most American shares are already expensive especially Tesla,...

How did you now buy it?

With those verification from CSCS, those it now mean that Chaka and Trove are certified okay by Nigerian securities for Nigerians to use their platform to trade without fear of loosing their money??

Hi gamaliel,

You can follow me on twitter @danieladaise
Ask me more questions over there, if you have more.
I am a full time value investor and I have been investing for over 6 years now both foriegn and locally.

Okay let me try to answer.

No, there are no real demerits in participating in foreign investments.

Institutional investors have portfolios that are focused on foriegn investments. Institutional investors do this all the time. And now individual investors have the platform to do same easily.

After reading your question, I had to highlight somethings that should be explained further.

1. Local Investment opportunities vs International investment opportunities
2. The use of BVN in registration for a investment platform.
3. Interpreting frequent Dividends as a proof of a profitable company.

To address this please continue reading:
1. So which is better foreign or local Investment.
I think it depends on your strategy and the edge you have over other investors.

You should understand that market efficiency means people are interested in evaluating the value and price of assets.

This means you won't get many investment opportunities to take advantage of.

Yes Foriegn investments are more efficient but that only means they are more regulated and they have smart people constantly evaluating assets. It's not easy to make good returns in efficient markets.

So make sure you have an edge and you have researched before investing abroad.

2. There is no way you can have an investment or financial account without providing your BVN.
It is mandatory.
And don't worry if you don't trust a company then don't use their service wait till they can be trusted first.

3. Please don't make the mistake of thinking that because a company pays dividend frequently, so that means you should invest in them.
Companies can pay interim dividends but this is not a constant thing. Dividends are not constant. It depends on the financial bouyancy of the company for that year.

Try and get the valuation of the business and make sure the fundamentals of the company are solid enough before investing.

If somethings are not still clear here please reach out on Twitter ask me afore t question and I will. Answer.

Hope this helps...

Thank you so much.... Please I have questions

1) Most foreign especially US Stocks are already expensive...

So how do I buy them and also make profit from trading them since I don't have my much money to invest?

2) With those verification from CSCS, those it now mean that Chaka and Trove are certified okay by Nigerian securities for Nigerians to use their platform to trade without fear of loosing their money??

Please I need answers.....

Thank you

For this season, in the US, I think The Big Pharmas, Big Farmers(esp. meat and vegetables) and Medtechs companies( especially one that the FDA in America is interested in) are likely good investments.
Just an opinion.

I'm basically a new investor in chaka. However I did my due diligence. Before the covid-19 march 2020 crash my mind was primed for opportunities. Things you need to know...

1)Information is power.
Follow forbes, bloomberg, marketwatch to have a competitive edge.

2)Be Disciplined
Know your strategy before hand and stick to it. If you're a dividend investor/long term investor, cool. If you're not, also cool.

3) Keep your emotions at home.

4)Enjoy seeing you profits grow or in any case nose dive!

5)When that first dividend hits you like kpakam, go to Jagabuy.com and treat yourself to an expensive oil perfume. Why? Because you deserve it!

As of this week, feed on the following information, research the below listed stocks.
1. mRNA
2. BUD
3. SMG
4. AMRS
5. DAL

If you are convinced about what you researched about them, then you can buy, and as soon as you notice little spike 2%-5% increase, sell and walk away with your dividends.
BUY LOW, SELL HIGH.
