yea, before ugbolu, just after 74.....its opposite the campus. land around that area is about 2-3m for 100 by 100ft
As at 2014 that was the price 2019 it was 6-7m as I have read here on this thread. I guess if that the price now with this pandemic

Your first paragraph, I don't understand.

Let assume 700k
I get some to manage it for me for 10% per annum
Minor repairs 30k
Am letf with 600k
FG bond is 10m minimum by United capital or do you mean FG saving bonds, this has been suspended by DMO

Sorry you will need N5 million if you deal with Stanbic IBTC bank.

We are praying that Treasury Bills will go back to the good old days , which I foresee by the fourth quarter of this year or early next year.

Sorry for my question, what do you do for a living?

You can invest part of the fund for the growth of your business. But if you are a salary earner you can consider money market funds.

500k @ 10% compounded for 10 years will grow to N8.7 million for risk free Investors

I am a salry earner and doa little side hustle which does not pay every time only when we have a job.

This money market you talk of I have seen their thread and read it but from what I read the rate is far less than the 10%. Sorry if I am asking too much questions

I think you do offer a very different perspective and view sometimes. Even that statement you made had some sense it, but the problem in my opinion is that you consider discussions to be confrontations.
My takeaway from your point was that sometimes you stay in a neighborhood because of other things like children upbringing, security and social class, not necessarily because of showoff. But that great perspective got lost in the near insult and confrontation you added.

There was no motive in the post I quoted, rather ridicule with no basis.
Someone talking about shifted curtains and empty living rooms, just to prove that he that lives somewhere else is smarter than the person living in a highbrow area, not even knowing the person's financial capability(else, how do someone judge wealth from living rooms and who switches on AC?).
That I call rubbish and very close to madness.
Anyways the level of delusions and fable-like tales seem to be the norm in this thread so indulge the group to carry on,we are just watching from the sidelines. cheesy

You are not asking too many questions, we are here to learn and not to have unnecessary confrontations

I have 2 money market fund investments. I have with FBN Quest Asset Management and FSDH Asset Management. They used to pay over 10% in the past.
Now FBN Quest pays me about 6%, while FSDH Asset Management pays me 6.75%.

But they will pick up whenever returns on Treasury Bills increases.

But it is providing income for some of us during this lockdown, you can redeem via your phone and you will receive credit alert in your account. Wifey redeemed 7 digits to make some investments during this lockdown

People should spend their money the way they want to, provided it is not putting a strain on their finances, you have extra to build your savings and investments and not spending to impress anyone.
We should also be honest with ourselves by downgrading our expenses whenever our finances cannot support such consumption nstead of getting into bigger debts in order to maintain status quo.

Or taking your landlords or school proprietor to court to prevent them from increasing their rents or fees.

If you had this kind of authority for real,I feel you would have been better off than looking for investment ideas from people that might be looking for maggi money.
Know your place and where your authority ends.
The only thing i believe is in your power to do is ignore my posts whenever you see them.
Thanks.

It will be impossible to unfollow the thread, expect he refuses to acknowledge the obvious . He must be learning one thing or the other from the thread.

No one comes here without becoming wiser and more informed and we are all learning from the knowledge imparted, experiences shared and cross fertilisation of ideas.

Rather we have more old money.
You can't go into Ikeja GRA and buy your way in to live there because most of those old money barons won't sell their house to you for no reason and might pick offence if you come meet them for a buying proposal.
So new generation kids that have made money have decided to move to Lekki and make it the new Ikeja GRA where nothing different is happening there from its predecessors asides being a new highbrow area.
Some rent,some buy.
Some have money,others don't.
You claiming Lekki is fake have no statistical base.
If a person can't afford something,he just can't.
Crying blood out here in the name of advise and pointing out who is real and who isn't won't change nothing.
People have been living in Lekki for 5 years and counting so how is the majority of them being fake hold water?
Won't there have been lots of empty houses there due to the fake life people running out of finance?rather year to year rents keep increasing due to the sheer demand for the place.
I always wonder why people always think that those highbrow dwellers aren't financially savvy or have no investments grin
They do and even have bigger investments that their lower social counterparts sef.
The difference is they just have more disposable income grin grin cheesy

Please my people, this just an information. I notice that once u have a substantial amount in ur account, u start getting scammers calls and text messages. If this is not an insider information, then means this scammers are using black power. But I think it has to do with insider info. Just be careful at this trying time, as many of them are out there looking for who to scam. As u dey hustle, na so them dey hustle too. Don't be a victim.
