Am not throwing figures around, I still have my road designs with me, I have the pictures of the roads I did, so am not just talking, if we can see one on one, I will show them to you, if not that this is a public forum and you never can tell who is on the forum, I will bring out those documents.

Peter Obi really did excellently well especially in terms of road construction, I say this because I was at the front line..

There are some roads I did in very remote communities that I marvelled. For him to even have such designs and quality of roads in remote communities made me to respect him more.


I also know of the measures he put in place to check contractors. We the engineers on site were made to submit our certificates to ministry of works Awka, so that you will be held responsible if you do a poor job, not just your company.

Also go and check, when contractors bring in their BOQ , go and check the drama they do with Peter Obi, he will in your presence be calling the market to know the exact price of the things you quoted.


He is a manager par excellence, he is a wonderful financial manager, I can categorically state because I was deeply involved. He does not entertain any form of extravagance or unnecessary waste.

Often times while I was doing some projects in Anambra, he will drive in to the site unannounced to check what you are doing. That made everybody to always be at his toe because you never can tell when the governor will visit your site.

What is Lagos and Akwa Ibom states' monthly alocation compared to Anambra. Peter obi did much with Anambra little alocation while Akwa Ibom and Lagos are very rich states but the rate of development there is good but not commensurate to the huge funds they generate and are allocated to them by the Federal government. If the governors of Lagos and Akwa Ibom utilize their money like Peter Obi did with that of Anambra, Lagos and Akwa Ibom would be like Dubai.

Here he did excellently well, both in public service and private sector. Peter Obis government facilitated and aided the industrial industrial revolution found today in Anambra. He provided enabling environment for the private sector industrialists and made Anambra a safe haven for investments and industries promoting the springing up of industries like INNOSON Motor Manufacturing company to spring up, to mention but a few.

In public sector, go and check, Anambra is the only state that was increasing salary when other states where looking for bail out funds, all thanks to Peter Obi's tenacious management of the state treasury. Anambra till date is constantly employing people into the civil service, even during recession.

Peter Obi's performance was far beyond the ex Governors you mentioned. Fashola Governed Lagos with huge revenue base, Akpabio and Amechi Governed Niger Delta States with 13% special derivation and other benefits as oil rich states. Kwankwaso performed but not in the area of human Capital development. Peter with the little resources under his control first of all, increased the revenue base of Anambra, ensure strict financial management of resources. He mad sure there is all inclusive and integrated in development with ANIDS(Anambra Integrated Development services). That is why today every community in Anambra can boast of a good hospital, good roads, fucntional schools with morden infastructural and above all a stable economy.
Your judgement may not be wrong from your own perspective because People Obi is not a noise maker, so he don't encourage Media PR works.

With the huge Fed allocation to fashola, Amaechi, Akpabio, they still did little compared to resources and mortaged their respective states to the tune of hundreds of billions of naira. More first rate industries sprang up during obi's reign, Anambra is number one in nigeria when it comes to link up roads, I don't mean political asphalt roads like we have in Delta, and credit for this must also go to Ngige. I am not from Anambra or southeast at that, I am from Delta, but was fortunate to have been at unizik while obi was governor, I can tell u for free, all factors been constant, he outperformed the aforementioned. U don't expect same result from 2 pple with huge differentials in allocation. The question is how judicious were these resources put to use. The only Nigerian governor in the history of nigeria to leave an incredible cash reserve for his sucessor while ensuring the state was debt free. How much did Lagos borrow under fashola, cum rivers and akwa ibom? Just like the curses called governors we are curses with in Delta.

Caveat: This is not an endorsement of Obi, I am only stating what I know.

This is state allocation for a month in 2013...
