1.One Mrs. Amaka Okoro, who tested positive for #COVIDー19 , is wanted for treatment. She is a nursing mother, who has a baby that is already coughing. She lives at #2 Atoe Idubor Str, off 2nd Ugbor, Benin City.

She has been unreachable since her results returned positive.

2. Mrs. Okoro poses a threat to herself, the baby and the general public. Anyone with useful information on her whereabouts should please contact the relevant health and security agencies.

She may be on her way to Madagascar for herbal treatment.

Why abscond

The Deplorable Situations at some of the Isolation Centres other than Lagos is causing Stigmatisation. It has become a death trap than medical centre that they are supposed to be because of the state government of those states. They thought they can deceive people but people are wiser. It better to treat oneself in such states than to allow them to dump and forget you somewhere

It is unfortunate we have lots of ignorant comments on this thread, accusing and insulting the woman for absconding or running away.
For the avoidance of doubt, let me explain how it works, firstly, sample is collected from suspected patient and sent to lab for confirmation. The patient is released to go pending the outcome of the result.
The result takes approximately 48 hours to be out.
If the result comes out positive, the patient will be contacted and duly quarantined.
From the twitter post of the governor, they already have the patient's information including her residential address. What happened to visiting the address ?
It is wrong exposing her confidential info and calling her out online.
Her number could innocently not be reachable as a result of some certain unavoidable factors.

2.No one wants to be isolated, even in a nice comfortable room with television and lots of good food.

3.Fear and denial. Probably denies the reality that she could be sick...because it means possible death.

Some people don't have sense, instead of u to go for treatment that is free and has free food for the entire period u will be in the hospital, u decide to run away and put other people life at risk, we get sense for this country at all?

Truth is the poor woman is scared of the type of treatment she will get at the isolation centre.

You mean after she was "suspected" of having the virus, samples were drawn from her for testing and she wasnt confined but was left to roam about awaiting her results?
Now that she has tested positive they have started looking for her like headless chickens.
