Read: He lost his hand fighting useless cult war.

My Name is Ajah King, I am 27 years Old. I am the only son of my parents. I am popularly known especially by my Cult members as "Ajarokiller". I was the the head of 'Aye' confraternity in ibusa, delta State. Until I lost my left arm and I was retired. I am telling this story as a lesson to all the youths out there "there is nothing to be gained from cultism, it is the devils way of destroying lives".

Sadly I had to discover this after I already suffered a major physical disability.

I joined the Cult back in 2010 after I finished secondary school from Saint augustine College ibusa, Delta State.

While in school I was a good boy.

I started mingling with the guys that introduced me to cultism and robbery after I failed on several occasions to gain admission into the university of benin.

Due to idleness, I joined these guys to roam around town, play 'chacha'(gambling) and gather to beat up and obtain people's money and phones on lonely roads.

My friends invited me to their meetings which they held mostly in school premises. Our spot was Anioboshi primary school in ibusa. No other Cult Group would dare to come there to hold any meeting.

I was 'bamed' as a member of the 'Aye' confraternity on 24th of July, 2013. Their ritual rite for blaming beating you with sticks and matchets until you almost passed out. They told me "I died that day to live again".

Luckily for me i didn't obtain any cuts. But i was looking all swollen up by the time I got home the next morning. Confraternal baming were usually carried out at midnight in the school premises.

My parents were always busy and not available. My dad is a driver for Delta line transport company and my mum worked as a su-chef in one of the hotels in asaba town.

She came back from work that day to see me almost half dead. I told her I was in a fight, but I didn't tell her who I fought with. She took me to general hospital in ogbowele village for treatment.

Fast forward to December 2013.i became reckless and brutal. Naturally I am a strong boy with good muscular built. I terrorized the community. No one dare challenged me even when I was wrong and at fault. Sincerely I was lousy and always ready to get into a fight over little issues.

Because of my various scores and how much money I contributed from stealing to the Cult purse I was voted as the 001 of my Cult Group. I became the Cult Executor.

I forgot everything about going to school and focused on building my reputation as a renowned Cultist in town. One day I was ambushed by another Cult group in when I went to swim in 'umueke' river. We were beaten with sticks so badly.

The next week we planned an attack on the 001 of the Cult Group. unbeknownst to us they had a prior information and so they prepared and intercepted us on our way to carry out the attack. My other Cult members ran away because they out-numbered us and had more weapons than we carried. I refused to run. I stood and I fought. I injured some of them badly but they overpowered and thier matchets rained on me. It was too late to run.

I woke up 3days later in general hospital with my mum sitting beside my bed. I have been under tranquilizers for days. There were bandages all over my body and I felt serious pains. My mum started crying immediately she saw my eyes opened. I looked and I saw one that my left hand was gone. I screamed and screamed until I started crying as well. The doctors came and gave me another shot and I passed out again.

I will have to stop here because thinking about it still made me sad and bitter.

Well, today I am a devoted Christian. I relocated to karmo in abuja after I recovered from the injuries. I started life all over again.

Like I said. I am telling my story as a way to dissuade others from joining any Cult. There is absolutely nothing you stand to gain.

Had similar experience in school as Mr OP a long time ago. My saving grace was that I grew up in Church environment as it incorcated morals and values into me quite early in life. Also, While growing up, I had uncles who often ran back home from the University because of "hit" in school. They spend more time at than in school and this made me wonder.

I made up my mind even as a teenager then never to join a cult group when I get to the University seeing the kind of torment and torture those my uncles passed through trying to graduate.

Fast forward, after my secondary school, I had a friend in my street who was the only child of his parents. We wrote qualification exams together for admission into higher institution and often gisted of how we gonna play life when we get to the university.

Eventually, I gained admission into the university and for the first time in my life, I found my self free from parental watch. I said to myself, this four years of my life, wont be spent only on academics but also on clubbing, socialising.

In process of satisfying the desires I always had in my heart as a teenager, I found myself going to bar almost everyday in school and started picking up different women along the line. Smoking, drinking and womanising became my new identity in school.

This new lifestyle open me up as I became friend to NBM, Vikings, Eiye, Buccaneer members etc on campus as we often met in bars, jungle (a social contact for smoking cannabis). Practically, I was doing everything a known cultist were doing only that I'm still a Jew-Man. I felt OK by this if they can just let me live my life in peace on campus without "belonging".

They came knocking on my door severally but reject their advances and tell them I am cool with our friendship that way. For the moment, it seems to be a good strategy not until one day after a heavy drinking spree at club on our way home, a particular cult group that has been on my matter for long time diverted our journey into the bush.

That very night in a long while, there was no woman by my side hanging out with me and found myself in the group of Vikings. We walked some distance and before i knew it, they led me into the bush as if we are going to smoke some weed. We trekked some distance as I became suspicious. I was out numbered as I was the odd man here. Gbam! the initiation process started even without my consent.

We were drilled with cutlass and told to lie face down without clothes. In the process, I was given a form of name to identity myself with other members. I repeated the name about thrice there and was not suppose to forget it for any reason.

I kept praying for God's mercy their to bring me out alive cos I already heard of stories of aspiring initiates that died during initiation. Saturday came and went outside in the general bathroom to take my bath, a male neighbor saw me and told me the whole my back is blood soaked as I was putting on a round neck white T-shirt. He tried to ascertain what happen but I told him to keep shut after he made a certain remark about me finally blending.

For a long while, I have not been going to Church on Sundays as I prayed for Sunday to come fast so I could confess everything to Pastor and seek counsel. Before Sunday came, they started coming to my house individually to say congratulation that "I am now a man". I had to tell them that they never sort my consent before yesterday act and as such, I am not interested in the whole thing.

They could not believe what they were hearing as some of them said I have gone nuts. At first, I was fidgety but I had to hold my ground. Finally, Sunday is finally here and went to church after which I waited to see the Pastor. I narrated everything to him and he asked me if I would like to be a member of the cult, I said NO. He led me to Christ and gave me what to tell them anytime they come calling.

After Sunday service, we new set came to my house and asked what is it they have heard. I told exactly what they have heard is true that I am now a born again child of God. Some of them laughed me to scorn but I held my ground.

They threaten me with death but I remained resolute by calling their bluff. After some months, I did not get to hear from them again as I only see them when I am outside the house. Then I knew I had to stop doing those things that make our path to cross as I eventually became a Church boy for the remainder of my stay in school.

To our teeming youth out there, no gain in cultism. It is better they call you a Jew Man and live your life in peace than trying to belong and have your life cut short.

I thank everyone that has contributed positively to this thread.

I noticed that 85% of cultists joined cultism act of ignorance and oblivious of the implications. I visited home last week, my phone went down I tried if could use generator set to recharge the battery, but the generator failed me.
Then,I decided to go and charge the battery at the business centre.

After a while, around 9.30pm, I decided to go and get the phone. When I got there, the battery wasn't fully charged. I was urged to wait for a while. But due to noise and carbon dioxide from the generator, I went for the nearby shop to sit.

At the shop sat 3 persons one was a dreaded being called 'super' ( a Viking).
We shared greetings, after that,I discovered the shop owners had gone home.

Having known them,I gave them some space and sat listening to network news via my radio. A little boy came in he wore red beret. when he came in,I lowered the volume of the radio.

He said to the guys that some Vikings snatched his Friend's phone Sunday by name who is also a member but JVC. They ordered him to mention their names(the snatchers) and he did mentioned them.
Immediately he noticed my present, he asked, " is that a German " the said, "no, No Dully". When he asked I grew yellow (cold, fear) until that their response. It wasn't funny at all.

They ordered him to invite Sunday(JVC),
When he came, next I heard was"who goes! " Sunday murmured something. They asked three times next I heard was ' Go down' he fell like a cut banana tree. Then another voice echoed, "Dolph am" pls I don't know the correct spelling but to me it sounded like that. The one in red beret started searching his pocket after he said, " i see 3 robber pins" with other things I called using their jargon.

Super stood and ordered, " 48 ID yourself oso" Sunday muttered some words and two guys from the four shouted, "rugged"

They ordered Sunday to answer their former question but he couldn't. 'super' laughed and said,"jonsing guy is a treasure to rugged ones, baggers are cappers" He ordered them to call all the newly initiated JVCs to gather.

They asked Sunday "who is your god's father" and he told them.
Immediately one echoed, " aro mates) (3x)
They replied "aro"
He said, " make we cite" by then, about 5 new persons have come.

They left the shop immediately to a darker place. about 3mins, I started hearing the cracking sound of breaking the tree branches. Then i said to myself, frank can,t you go home b/4 these evil doers will find a reason or two to turn to you.
Before I could stand up,I started hearing sound of beatings. Gush! My heart fled and goose pimples ran all over my body. What an inhuman treatment.

When I got to the charging point, the guy had gone home. LOL

Why are we Imprisoning ourselves? Why are we fooling ourselves? Why? Why? Pls Nigerians why?

After you have passed the ills of the initiation phase, you are still bound to serve and feed your fellow frat members (by force). if you have problem with your fellow frat member, that's an opportunity/avenue for others in the same frat to even drain you more.
Except these mentioned above, you are still liable to die in the hands of your opponent frats.

SAY NO TO CULTISM PLS.

Foolishness to a sane mind. Quest for glory, money and power for them. Needless bloodshed.

I remember when Femo -Atilla mutinied his ship and secured the thumb print of Charles the sitting executioner. Femo's reign would later lead to a lot of bloodshed including the suspicious killings of lecturers including the dean, faculty of Pharmacy of the school. Also the deaths of two initiates undergoing drilling in Iceland (initiation ground). Their bodies were then disposed of in a well close to the site.
Charles would later denounce cultism publicly and employed by the V.C of the school to deliver anti -cultism talks to schools around, while Femo went ahead to have his reign.
As usual, karma doesn't sleep. Femo was also removed via mutiny due to his sudden aversion to violence (he had started having second thoughts). Femo gave his life to Christ, started preaching the gospel everywhere. On the streets in town, on campus and in drinking joints where he used to reign supreme.
At first, people thought it was all a scam. However, as this went on for sometime, it began to dawn on people that his repentance was real. Duded started succeeding in converting people to change their ways. A decree was passed by the Vikings to leave him alone, subsequently bestowing upon him the norm-de-guerre, Aro Pastor.
He became a pastor, got his degree, kept preaching in the school and died of malaria after two weeks of being sick.
This guy had spent about 11 years in school for a 4 year course. We met him and left him there.

we are waiting please

About two weeks ago, a guy (let's call him James), went to buy weed from an ogogoro joint around 9PM in the area where I reside.
James is a young man who is married with 2 kids and also a member of the NBM.
As with most areas in this town, mine is also divided into two parts with one side dominated by the NBM and their juniors(Black Skulls) while the other part is dominated by the SVC and their juniors( Redskins).

James had crossed over enemy lines to buy weed for reasons best known to him and as expected he was accosted by two blood brothers who were members of the Vikings. They were seated there drinking and immediately accused James of coming there with a gun to shoot them. They descended on him and beat him up really badly. A crowd gathered and James' bag was searched and with no weapon found, he was allowed to leave. He felt humiliated as a 'strong man' and scared due to the fact that his only brother was killed just a few years ago for cross-carpeting from the Redskins to the Black Skulls.

The very next day at about the same time of the night, gunshots started ringing out in the part of the area were we were drinking and gisting about closure of business due to Covid 19 lockdown. There were about 10 gunshots with torches flashing in the sky line.
James had led a squad of his men to the boys' family house and shot once into the air. One of the boys, the younger one, ran out and started running. James and his squad chased after him screaming "Thief, thief!!" The boy jumped into his neigbour's compound and they followed him there, hacked him down and shot him severally. He died on his way to hospital.
James had crossed a line of no return and done so foolishly too. Everyone including roadside traders knew who had carried out the HIT and why. On their side of the divide, the NBM members were celebrating openly and hailing James for the attack while also telling everyone within earshot that James used external men for the HIT (jejely removing themselves from blame and putting James squarely in the cross-hairs of any potential reprisal attack).
He left town the next day and had his wife and two little sons relocate to his in-law's house within the same area.
The Police are looking for him, the vigilantes are looking for him, the SVC and the Redskins have vowed to kill him without delay.
James is running out of time and with limited resources and with the Covid 19 lockdown and the fact that he hustles daily to feed his family, it's only a matter of time before he runs out of options and returns to the same area where he's been hunted and your guess is as good as mine what would happen next.

Every evening, my area is particularly quiet. People see his kids playing with others and look at them with a certain kind of pity in their eyes. Everyone knows what's coming and knowing how these little children would grow up due to the actions of their father is just disheartening.
Their mum has also gone missing. Probably evading police questioning. There's palpable apprehension in the air.
Palpable apprehension. That's what cultism brings. A constant sense of fear of what's to come. A sad way to live life.

James and his wife are both below 30 years of age.

The inability to overlook certain things has and will continue to be the downfall of some cultists. Running away from a fight does not always signify weakness.

Pa Gaby.
This is almost story of my life but I used the Kano-Niger-Agadez-Duruku-Sabha-Tripoli routes in 2010. Boss it wasn't a thing one do with clear eyes. Everything you know will elope you as it will be done on you why the saying "All man for himself" still hold sway today.
We saw cultism, brutality first hand. But las las, nothing inside. As a cultist you'll be dead before dying, if not from Police, Rivals (Most times nothing dey concern you o), frat brothers or small street fight. All in all, you're casted and done for.

Shuncultism
Shundrugs
Avoid cultist related gang.

They will wreck your life, make you miserable and that will be it. All these big men and celebrities they mention at OT level just to make you think you and them now eat from same table. You will die before you even set eyes on them.

Bewarned.
Don't be ignorantly ignorant.

That's true, one of the dangers of mingling with them. One can start using their slangs without even knowing the significance.

I have also modified your comment on my mention.

. You will start filtering where you go to, where you hangout, scan the premises before you enter, look for the best position to sit down. This daily routine will help keep you breathing for the next day.
So true lol. That you keep scanning the premises before you enter ehn. And you can't stay in a particular location for too long coz you don't know who might have been monitoring you. There are so many places you've never been to and you dare not go there coz u no know weytin dey sup for that area. Cultism kills your social life, it kills everything about you. A life without rest of mind, always panicking and running up and down. Avoid it.

The greatest undoing of gangsters worldwide is that they can't overlook attacks since it makes them look weak. The need to maintain the "hard man" reputation over takes the application of common sense.
The result? Unnecessary bloodshed.

Bros eh, your story make me remember my own. I congratulate you say you stand your ground after that night. Something wey many men no fit do after the initiation. Force bamming don make many boys enter system and e no make sense. This thing make me hate Eiye and Baggers more, na them dey do am pass. Many men wey suppose don get purpose for life, these fools don bend their life. Na so I hear about one boy for my secondary school. This guy then na calculator, dey solve maths like say the thing dey him head so tey we dey call am Einstein. One of our best graduating student then. Only for me to see am for one wedding for Lag dey fight like tout over drink. As I enquire on him matter, I hear say him cousin set am up to blend for aiye. Na so him turn nuisance for him family and school. A whole brilliant student, dropout for 2 universities. Abeg cultism dey evil. Make una dey beware, when you enter school. Most guys wey dey invite you to come party or hangout, na moles wey get target to get new members. And as new member when you enter game and war enter, you are very expendable.

So pathetic but God knows the best. If you had repented and denounced the cultism, surely you Will be forgiven.
Thank you.
