I want to advice everyone that is interested in travelling out of Nigeria ,to start thinking out of the box ,most of the embassies in Nigeria are overwhemed with high numbers of applicants ,coupled with a large numbers of fraudulent applicants ,has also made it difficult for them to sometimes be objective in doing their job.

I had alot of experiences with some embassies in Nigeria from Poland to USA,Canada,UK,Mexico ,Italy and South Africa. Most of the time applications for visa was denied without any concreate reasons, but its their country and one as to respect that , the most painful was Mexican visa which was denied because the counsular was not able to contact the university i wanted to attend a Spanish language course,with making any delibrate effort.

If you are fed up with visa denial and wasting money, i would advice you to think of moving out of Nigeria to a less popular country which is visa free or on arrival outside the African continent legally as a student or work visa ,then from there you can apply for a country that is closer in standard to the country you intend to travel to ,if you get the visa go and come back,do not abuse the visa rule it always back fire ,you can now apply for your destined countries based on your preference , use the HDI (countries list of Human development index ) to guide you on where to start from .
You will be so suprised how some countries have empty embassies and how friendly you could be treated if you have the right documents .

In my case i applied for schengen visa from an euroasia country and got it .the process was so easy and what stuck me was the limited docuemntation needed ,because i'm a student ,instead of asking for millions in my bank account ,they simply ask how many days you intend to spend ,if 5 day then you are required to have only 80 euro per day for living expenses ,thats all and letter from your school and 6 months valid legal permit and an hotel and flight resevations.

kindly note most top countries like CANADA and USA both have a very high visa denial rate for Nigerian over 70percent in 2019 ,if in doubt google is your friend ,think outside the box and reduce your chances of wasting your hard earned money .

Shebi he just mentioned Africa countries try to Google it out to know the easiest Africa country to enter any of does country, from Kenya with their passport you can easily enter Singapore and top Asians countries.... Tho I don't know about using Nigeria passport but I believe it will be easy too....

Another thing would be to apply for a job in your country of choice get it and get a work permit that can allow you to move.

This isn't guaranteed either. I got a work permit last year here in Nigeria for China but was rejected due to language barrier.

You can still try other countries. Get a job and move.

It depends on the skills you have. My first real job out of school was with an Australian company and that job let me into Italy without a Visa. It is a highly specialised field though.

I studied marine engineering so it was a marine engineering job. You can acquire IT skills if you want to japa through the job route.

OP, you have sense thank you for this wonderful write up, you really saved a soul.. I have been denied last year of China and south Korea student visa with all my documents and statement been completed.. tho it's my first time of applying it... And I have a virgin passport...

What do you think if I go to Kenya bcuz that the Africa country that I so much loved... Waiting for your response....

for Germany it as been very hard for an average Nigerian to get visa appointments so you could travel to Neitherland or Holland , Nigerians have to start considering this country even though they may not offer 18 months stay back like Germany ,they offer 1 year start back and visa are most times 100percent guaranteed if you have all the funds and academic requirements

For Australia you can find a school that as an external campus of the AUSTRALIA university you like , enrol there with the intension of transfering academic credit ,there many of this universities in Vietnam ,Singapore and even South Africa

what if someone does not have the money for a student visa, how easy is it to get a work visa?

If not that some if our people has shyte in the toilet without flushing but family based immigration to the USA is one that I highly recommend. When truly genuine.

Lots of African Americans and actually also regular Americans are intrigued with Africa and her culture. Naija guys are known to be loving, hard working and family oriented.

OP you're a very very wise man. This is what I tell my friends very often. The more they apply and get rejected when they finally realise how much they have wasted both on application runs and crying empty tears they will sit up by force.
