It's a water cow. Not a buffalo. Yoruba hunters often describe the buffalo as a more immense and extremely dangerous creature.
Water cow?

I know something which is more than you who knows nothing.

Unlike you I actually studied biology and what the bible says. Some people will only read the parts that they like such as Acts 10:13 and not Proverbs 12:10 and Numbers 35:33 yet they will still use the same book to say nonsense.

If you don't kill that thing, it will kill you. African Buffalos are extremely aggressive and mean fortunately that's not even an African buffalo. This is definitely another specie.

It is an African forest buffalo, the other species which is more common is the African cape buffalo. The forest buffalo is native to West and central Africa whilst the cape buffalo is found in East and Southern Africa.

if it's not endangered, we should see them in herds. You just want to justify your poaching

I wait for the day when Earth is taken over by an alien race more superior than ours!

That see hunting humans as a sport and will glee over your corpse and pose with your bodies taking pictures and posting on their alien forum!

Hey look... we killed this ectomorph today in a funny hat and big protrusion in his mid-section!

We must learn to treat animals rightly actually. I think Nairaland has a bias against animals. They like to show dead animals. Many here have not seen or observed this animal before and will never get a chance to. I eat cows and chicken; but we rear them. We shouldn't go out of our ways to be hostile to animals and sadly this platform promotes that culture. People go in search of animals to maim and murder so they can be on nairaland front-page. Disgraceful actually.

Nah you were just typing rubbish, all through, this isn't your house it's a public forum so maybe you should think about what you say before you type. When all the wildlife in Nigeria has died or another killer disease from eating wild animals emerges it will be everyone's headache.

All these because a wild animal was killed?
You guys are really funny...I swear!
Since when did Nigerians become animal rights activists?
Always copying the white man.

You seem to forget easily that it was these same wild animals that sustained our ancestors, which made it possible for you to be alive today.

I’m not an animal right activist you Arrow!

Let me correct you, Governor-general of the ancestors, Your ancestors hunted enough to feed and not for sport!

These are trophy hunters and do not need to hunt to sustain their livelihood! I’m sure when you want to cook your food, you don’t go the way of your ancestors and hunt animals in the wild... you Arrow!

Today, we kill animals for show! Why is the first instinct to kill an animal, then come to social media (Nairaland) to ask what they killed, then proceed to show us how they’ve made a meal of it ? That’s not the sign of a hungry man, that’s the sign of a show-off

Okay.. Arrow! You got my attention and now it’s gone

Nothing like bush cow, it's a forest buffalo. It's different from the cape buffalo we normally see on Natgeo. You can Google search forest buffalo to confirm.
