You're getting it wrong. The toxicity here is actually a reflection of how fractured we are as a country. Peoples that do not share common values forced to continue in a rat race against one another. It is sad.

My observation as a Lagosian. Yorubas are naturally nice people expecially when you are humble and respectful. I have also observed that Yorubas are two groups based on the religion they practice. One group flow freely and also inter-marry with the Igbos, but the other group tend to share great animosity towards the Igbos. I don't know why anyway. But I think it has to do with religious differences

In reality, both tribes dont think much of each other. When is the last time you saw someone from either tribe publicly say he admires the other? From my Igbo side, I have never heard it

A normal Yoruba when ask to prove, with instance he/she will write in Yoruba Language

Same as igbo, it happens everywhere,
Why won't you be able to prove where you came from.

But your first statement was that, we will be laughing at you

It's just a simple mistake, there is no way, if you're really a Yoruba, you'll see the error, it doesn't even make any meaning / sense if you pronounce what you wrote.

Why will someone here on this forum will ask me to prove my Yoruba and I won't write all my sentences in Yoruba language??

That’s because Igbo are bitter pricks who pollute the internet with their lies and spiteful comments. Seems like they hate Yorubas even more than the fulanis who enslaved them. I just find it funny tho that when these so call northerners that they hate so much become head of states or running for presidents they always have igbo VPs yet the Igbos swear they hate the northerners so much lol. But most of their hateful comments are reserved for their Yoruba brethren.

So one has to publicly say he likes something before you know he likes it?... That is too simplistic..... I repeat nairaland tribal wars has very little to do with what happens in real world... These tribes inter-marry, do business together, are friends, go to church owned by other tribes. We just have too many tribal noisemakers on nairaland (kids).
