Are there no habitable areas in this PH, as in areas conducive enough for humans habitation? Each time I come across pics of this city they aren’t impressive one bit.

The pics of Port Harcourt you see on nairaland were taken in the suburbs. It's just like someone going to snap some streets in Ajegunle, iyana ikpaja etc & say they are pictures of Lagos city.

Wike reason of locking down Port Harcourt is that people are disobeying him Not even to fumigate the public places or conduct test house to house. He was the first to start lock down with all market close, na another lock down again till further notice other Governors will say 1week or 2week
This man is just excerising power with the public
Na heavy one chance wey Rivers people enter
God will see all of us through

Anybody who wants to rain insult on Gov. Wike should pls loud it. U av my support. We are from same local govt, he has no right to ask me to stop attending to my patients at the lab. What nonsense. What happens to imposition of compulsory wearing of facemask? I just hate this.

Wike is ruling Rivers State like his family and this is so very wrong, countries with much higher cases than Rivers State didn't shut down pharmacies and supermarkets but this half baked lawyer did.

How do you expect people to cope till FURTHER NOTICE? I have familiy in Rivers State and I've not heard anything about palatives being given to the poor and vulnerable instead it's was given to party leaders. Rivers State is a volatile state no matter how any one choose to look at it, they're more guns in the hands of cultists in Rivers State than any other state in Nigeria and you shut the state down.

This is just a big disaster. We really need to start voting in leaders that think critically in this country.

Most of us in PH are happy with what Wike is doing in PH especially during this pandemic. Wike might not always be right but he is doing wonderfully well. If you think Covid-19 requires kids gloove go and find out what is happening up north before you come here to incite hatred. Wike if you are reading this or your PA, continue doing what you are doing by ensuring safety of people in Rivers. You are a great man

24SEVEN:

Only Amaechi tried to make PH look decent, a sizeable proportion of PH is actually unplanned, and dirty. Zero adherence to town planning. The govt of Wike is not concerned at how building codes are neglected. Wike is a disgrace to governance.

That said, PH has a plethora of upscale areas. Don't expect people living there (people like me grin) to snap neighborhood and upload online. At least for security and privacy reasons.

"A sizeable proportion of PH is actually unplanned and dirty. Wike is not concerned at how building codes are neglected. Wike is a disgrace to governance."

And Wike has been governor for how many years? 5yrs?

So this sIzEaBlE pRopOrTiOn Of PH that iS aCtUaLlY uNpLanNeD aNd DiRtY, was built in the last FIVE YEARS due to Wike nOt being cOnCeRnEd At HoW bUiLdInG cOdEs ArE nEgLeCtEd?

Keenly following.
This lockdown is political and a vendetta.
Not just against the federal government as Wike is completely powerless and useless against them but against Fati, Chairman of Rumukrushi park operators and number one agbero( a title Wike does not want to relinquish) there.
Wike has been looking for how to stop movement and market around the oilmill asix but was finding it difficult, so he had to lockdown the whole ObioAkpor, because it makes no sense locking down ObioAkpor as a whole, when there is movement around eleme, Etche, oyigbo, igwurita and 80 percent of people around there go through eleme junction, and would have contacted whatever to go and spread in the aforementioned places.

The lockdown would have been cancelled if not that Wike will look stupid, I would like to know the purpose of this useless lockdown if it does not reach two weeks, which is the incubation period for the virus and everyone showing symptoms would have been identified, but then that is a pipe dream.

Wike has shown his toutishness once more and I expect his praisesingers to still asslick him.

After ranting come and call it off.
If Wike was targeting those areas like Oilmill he would implement the lockdown before Wednesday.
There are various ways to create awareness of the virus. There is no better one than this lockdown. Even if it is lifted just today, the aim has been achieved. Awarenesses has been created. Consequences of subsequent violations have been made known. Any subsequent prevention measures spelt out will be easily adopted and adapted.
