For this option do I chose bank account or card payment?

Choose bank account.
They will charge you fees if you decide to go with card payment.

Well explained. I'm not too versed in technical analysis but I'm always amazed by how much graphs and patterns can predict price movements. I agree with you, this is a good stock and it does look like it is consolidating before a breakout. I will likely get back in for but for smaller amounts and build slowly.

That is because charts simply show human psychology and reaction. We all react to fear and greed in almost predictable ways so the charts only show it. I'm still upgrading my technical skills through learning. I enjoy the FA side of things but the charts don't lie and takes away the emotional side of this business. Someone said 'we trade them, we don't date them' - them being stocks. Moreso, the charts are repeatable so one only needs to look at a chart in time T with the same or similar economic event at the time and compare. You can almost predict how people will react, then position yourself for the inevitable cycle repeat.

That makes a lot of sense. When I'm chanced my plan is to take a cheap course on TA to better improve my trades.

Square (SQ) the mobile payment processor reported wider loss than expected but revenue exceeded analyst consensus. They are poised to benefit from a contactless world as their Cash app is wildly used by teens and young adults. They should also benefit as more people get their stimulus check. I've been in and out of this name in the past and I plan to add if it dips more.

Check out this security monitoring company ADT. They install alarm and camera systems in private homes, apartments and businesses. By the end of 2019 they had 6.5million customers many of whom have multiyear contracts and automatic monthly payments. Their balance sheet doesn't look too good on the surface though, they have $9.7B in total debt but only $1B is due in 2021 and another $1B due in 2022 versus $1.5-$1.9 operating cash flow they generated since 2017. The stock is trading at only 9X earnings, moreover I also have a subscription with them. I bought a few shares yesterday at $4.35 a piece and I plan to add to this position, i'm already up 16%, stock propelled 8% today alone. I'm taking a chance here at the risk reward
I will do my best to post trades i'm making but I wouldn't advice anyone to buy simply based on my trades because sometimes I initiate a position purely based on speculation, sometimes based on fundamentals or technical analysis while some other times I might read an article or tweet and get curios

ADT reported earnings yesterday. Sales beat but they reported a loss. This is a small position and I'm up 33% but I plan to hold as this stock is still undervalued.

Drenimarcus recommended Dominoes Pizza (DPZ) here on the thread a couple weeks ago as a benefactor to the coronavirus lockdown, but I didn't buy the stock and it has moved 10% since then. Papa John's (PZZA) another pizza chain announced that they are hiring 20,000 people to fulfil its "no contact" delivery of pizza and other food items. This is another company that cannot keep up with demand and should benefit in a time when traditional restaurants are shutting down. I just bought a few shares at $61.90

Papa John's (PZZA) missed analyst EPS and revenue after reporting earnings, but the CEO said April was their best month ever. Currently up 29%, I still like this company; I will follow it closely and decide what to do next.

Got back into Morderna (MRNA) at the $56.75 level. The stock rallied yesterday after announcing their COVID-19 vaccine is moving to phase II testing. But do not expect any magic here, vaccines takes years to refine even in perfect conditions. I will say a stop sell order at $45 to take me out but I plan to ride this stock to $73.

I took a course with Technitrader a few years back and I liked it. I'm sure there are cheaper and probably better alternatives available now. I like to read small books (100 pages or less) and I found two I can direct you to search for online if that would be helpful. You should be able to find the pdfs on Google

This is a good move, I would say. I was looking at it this morning and it’s attractive.
How about airlines for medium term?

How about airlines for medium term?

Airlines are a great medium term trade here. I tried to get into United Airlines (UAL) today at the $22 level but it never filled. Buying airlines here is an aggressive trade but as more cities slowly open, this trade is such a no brainer its literally free money. Airlines are at their 52wk lows so the risk reward here is really good. An aggressive trader can initiate a position here and even add to it if prices fall.

I am a new trader also, still learning but was lucky enough to purchase NIO and Paypal and has been ok so far. Just not sure yet if I should go short or long term for both stock.
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by Nobody: 6:54pm On May 08, 2020
So, does it mean Warren Buffet is loosing his special skills on picking the right stocks. I also have a feeling that getting into the airline industry now is the best for long term investment.
I watched warren Buffett Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting . He admitted that he has sold all his airline stocks and even said it was one of his biggest investment mistakes.

Anyway, I believe that the corona virus is going to forever change most industries. For the airline industry I think social distancing would take a bit of their profit and it would affect them. I may be wrong though. I actually think the cruise lines is better to invest in the transportation sector than the airlines. I may still be wrong though.

The company stocks you can go long term are those that are currently below their intrinsic value. With time they would get to their real value. There are a lot of them out there currently trading below their intrinsic value.
PayPal is good stock ....very good stock.

Warren Buffett is looking at airlines' prospects long term. In the short term, the stocks can go up and down. Personally, I am neutral on airlines (unlike last week before Buffett's comments) as I think even though airlines are at or near their lows, the negative news flow generated by Buffett's comments continues to weigh on them.

Isnt the USO cheap at $21 at the moment? Considering that it is down by 43% in the past one month and the US economy is currently reopening, creating demand for it.

I wouldn't question Warren Buffet's reasons for selling off all his airline shares; maybe he knows more than the average investor. But just looking at the risk-reward here, those stocks have been beaten so badly and a bounce can be expected.

You are right. As good as Warren Buffet is, he still makes wrong investments e.g kraft Heinz Stock.
Now looking at the airline business, the current stock price is too low and will definitely bounce back to its high when economies start reopening. If airlines don;t operate from now till December, most airline companies will definitely go bankrupt. Do you know the operational cost it takes to run airlines Do you know that, as Airlines are not operating they are running huge cost currently as we speak.

Warren Buffet must have done his homework. He would definitely have Financial experts and professionals working in his holding company Berkshire Hathaway, that can do the fundamental analysis of the Airline industry, hence his decision to pull out of Airline Stocks.

My take: If you want to invest in Airline stocks, you can do short term , follow the charts, know when to move out, because, my guess is that not all the Airline companies will survive this corona Virus Crisis.

Exactly, he has way more insight into companies than anyone else even the analysts, so I wouldn't even attempt to criticise his decision to sell all his shares. But like someone else said, Buffet is more of a buy and hold guy; maybe he has determined in the long run airlines will still suffer. I don't know, but they are due for a bounce maybe not anywhere close to their pre-covid levels.

Good evening great billionaire minds.
Hope we are all having a swell weekend.

Our desire in the long run here is for this forum to be a haven of quality money-making information from the US stock market for all to benefit from in making their respective investment decisions.

As much as we are making short term gains here and there from updates shared, it's important to also supply information in support of long term and dividend trades/stocks to balance the equation.

We are convinced there are now forum members who are more tilted to hunting for the best dividend stocks, growth stocks and value stocks.

Some of us are still traditional long term investors while also sipping from the gains of short term trades.

On this note, more detailed updates on these fundamentals shall be shared.
And most pivotal will be the regular earnings updates as promised some time ago when the nairaland system kept triggering a ban when I first attempted it.
This means every new week, we shall supply information on companies due to release their quarterly, and annual reports to the floor of the exchange. As you well know, having this information ahead narrows one's focus on what to look out for every week and possibly get prepared to buy the best stocks of the moment for meaningful gains. It ends up becoming a win-win situation for both short and long term investors.

Watch out for this week's earnings updates.
Happy investing and have a green-filled portfolio this week.
