what icon pack is that or is it under a theme.
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Betnomore: 6:25pm On May 08, 2020
Dark matter icon pack. It's paid icon pack on play store but u will have to use it wt 3rd party launcher as MiUi doesn't support icon packs. I use Nova launcher for it. The wallpaper is from Google wallpaper

My personal experience. I first bought mi A2 lite (with stock android), not knowing there was going to be limitations in twiking. Even fonts can't be changed. It was boring.
Less than a year later, I discovered RN7pro. Comes with MIUI, I checked users experience here though.
MIUI is fun, am enjoying it on my RN7pro.
Mi A3 comes with stock android, RN8 comes with MIUI.

Correct guy. I used to love stock android. Even when I got Redmi 7, I still flash AOSP ROMS but the experience ain't fun like MIUI. Now I'm using a MIUI based custom ROM.

I guess I'm the only Xiaomi user* that hates MiUI. Just me? Okay.

In other news, Redmi 9 maybe announced soon.

Hold a global version or Global ROM go through it very well there are differences.

Chinese ROM do have it's own advantages eg getting updates faster but in most cases the added features are tuned with their people in mind.
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by festwiz(m): 7:11pm On May 08, 2020
For those interested, I went through the Mi Global website and found out there is no 4k video capture on the Redmi Note 9. No 1080p60 or 720p60 either.

So many mixed feelings about this device. angry

The only reason I like the Chinese version is because of the Call Recording Feature. I don't think I can use any phone that doesn't have that.

Please house I finally got a spare battery for my redmi 7, But I guess the battery is not it's own cos the battery doest fix normally, the problem is that it's stock at 50 percent since when I left Ikeja that's almost 2 hours ago, plug it to electricity but it's doesn't add bars but I guess it's charging cos it's warm have already done factory reset..thinking of draining the battery if that would work or I return it on Monday?

Conversations with people close to me. Parents, friends, the others etc...
I sometimes reminisce by playing back the conversations I had with those of them that are deceased. Brings back memories, keeps me in "Check" and reminds me that I'll soon be joining them.

No, I'm not CIA. cheesy

A feature that will soon be rolled out by google.for global versions and already in beta testing. Xiaomi announced that there will be a fix for it, but impatience on our part always get the most out of us.

Oh, this is interesting. This shows that you are someone who always love to stay connected to people which is good. I'm sure you wished you recorded some of your childhood conversations.

Where did you get, the battery? Don't use a battery that will cause damage to your panel. Did you contact RepairpalNG?

Below is a battery for Redmi 7

But you know the hike in exchange rates don't you, and getting batteries into the country even pre-covid-19 have not been easy. You should see new prices for phones to understand

It will but it will be later. They might want to release it together with the Redmi 9 and the Redmi Note 9 Pro. As usual with Xiaomi all markets don't get devices at the same time. The availability you listened to during Redmi Note 9 launch was for Europe and not Africa

Wow! That's a shame. Given the $249 price tag, I wonder what market they aim to sell the device in. The Realme 6i is already on sale in SEA and it comes in way cheaper than the RN9.

Their 2020 lineup is a lot to take in.

Depression, frustration etc... None of them.
I'm just being what I am; a realist. Moreover, I've seen a lot of people leave this world and I know I am just living on what you'd call "borrowed time".
The thing with death is that it comes suddenly and unannounced.
So again, I'm not having "fits or even bits of depression", just being a realist. smiley
