Hello house. I'm applying for an undergraduate degree program in some of the universities in US of A. An official transcript was required from my Secondary School but they didn't have a database as at when I attended school (2007-2012) and would be impossible for them to get my transcript.

How do I go about this?

Your advice would be much appreciated.
.
You rarely see undergrad aspirants on this thread.
Anyways, welcome!

You must be applying for Fall 2021, right?
Concerning your transcripts, regardless of the fact that your high school doesn't have a database of records, as long as you have your own copy of academic records (Reports Card), you can give your school this for the processing of your transcripts.

By the way, I'm an undergrad aspirant too, with conditions attached.

At most, they will request for your evaluated WAEC result, run it via WES. Their result has more favorable points than other agencies.

PM seen.

I wasn't totally prepared for Fall 2020. So I'm bracing for Fall 2021.

I hope to get funding, so I am looking at some high profile schools (they give generous funding, although admission is like passing a thread through the needle).
CORNELL UNIVERSITY, NEW YORK UNIVERSITY, BROWN UNIVERSITY, YALE UNIVERSITY e.t.c

Thanks for your input and yes, I'm applying for the Fall 2021.
And concerning the transcripts, Do I include my Junior School reports or only that of the Senior School?

Are you a first year or a transfer student and how do you mean by conditions attached?

Yeah. Thanks, I'll add those.
You know I mentioned "with conditions attached" earlier. Well, the conditions are;
1. I haven't taken any standardized test yet.
2. I haven't obtained my passport yet.

About the transcript, most colleges require Grades(9 - 12). And that's JS3 - SS3 in our own case.
I think SS1 - SS3 will do. (I stand to be corrected though)

Congratulations on your admission to Clark University and Northern University! What program did you apply for in both schools? They are both great schools in terms of quality of education and reputation. However, cost of living is higher in Boston in comparison to Worcester, and cost of education may differ depending on the amount of scholarship you got from each school. Also, put into consideration the program u applied for, and try to tease out the school that has a better prospect in that field.
I am a Clarkie...graduating in few weeks!
Let me know if you have more questions or concerns.
Good day, pls kindly check your email. Thank you

Same here. I haven't taken any standardised test(SAT was cancelled due to Covid 19) and I haven't obtained my passport yet(due to Covid 19 still).

Do schools require a scanned copy of passports uploaded or it isn't required for admissions processing?

Have you obtained your Secondary School transcripts? And if so, how did you with everything going on?

1. Same reason too, funds inclusive.

2. Yes, some colleges do. I suppose they want to be sure you're not wasting their time. You won't be required to provide the data page of your passport until your application(from the CommonApp) is being received and vetted.
And, you might need it to ID yourself when you go for your standardized test, but that's if you don't have a Government issued ID (confirmed for SAT, I don't now if its the same for ACT)

3. I haven't gotten my transcript yet, but I've done the skeletal work on EXCEL from my secondary school report card, SS1 - SS3(It will take longer if my school handles the academic record gathering and they might charge me more). In this regard, I have eased my Counsellor's work.(Note:The Counsellor is responsible for submitting your transcript on the CommonApp.)

Thanks a lot. I've had issues understanding how the application processes work but this clarifies it.

If you don't mind, I'd like a copy of the format you you did your academic transcript so I can do mine with. It would be very much appreciated.

And who should the counsellor be?

Check out this school in the link below. No application fee is required, Standardised Test is optional, multiple scholarships and application is still in progress.

1. Am glad to help, the Application process could be quite overwhelming. If I had the knowledge I have now this time last year, I might have enrolled for Fall2020.
Most importantly too, others could simply learn from this thread without breaking a sweat.

2. No problem, I'll drop a Dropbox doc. link, so everyone can download and view on their Dropbox.
(I'll have to modify this post later for the link, might not be today though)

3. In simpler terms, In the US, the Counsellor is a personnel that acts on behalf of the school in relation to a particular student.
So I would say in Nigeria here, that might be your Class Teacher, your Principal or someone who can act on the behalf of the school in relation to you.
So the US Colleges will ask the Counsellor to submit your transcript directly from their own database or records. I suppose they believe if the student himself/herself was to submit the transcript, then it might be altered. So your Counsellor contact details would be needed.

3. Thanks, I'll check it out.
