No sir. I don't think my head is full of cotton , i feel like my head is full of cotton. Which admittedly is a very bad metaphor. Suffice to say that i don't think i have a psychological condition. It's just a physical condition. I stand corrected though
ThreeBlackBird:
Your issue strikes me more as psychological the moment you thought your head is full of cotton. Let me assure you that you need help and should seek from a counselor.

Thank you sir . I really appreciate you
Franzinni:
I would need you to email the brain to my inbox let me help you check it... The last time I fixed a brain with too much fog in it was in kelechi's in computer village but right now I am not with my tools but I can still use sniper to rinse your brain first and see if the fog will clear ... I use to charge but as per first time customer I will do this one free ... Just pay 3k to buy form then you can start opening your head .

But on a serious note tho ... From the way you composed your write up ... It is clear to me that you can focus well .. And also it is clear to me that you are going through a stage that you don't understand and hence the confusion .. You are depressed that is it and you are not unique..

I once was in your shoe feeling like life is just drab ... Stopped finding intrest in entertainment and started losing focus ... Hey let me put you on a journey .. And after that journey you will be fine or at least find yourself..

Please take the time out to go to YouTube and search for Alan watts ... Listen to his every word ... Watch as many videos of his teachings ... Listen to the chillstep versions too ... That man died in the 70s but every word rings true till today ... Find yourself ... No psychologist can help you do that .

Yes that seems like the obvious solution. But tell me which hospital in nigeria is willing or equipped to deal with something like this
biacan:

Why Liver, when this seems clearly mental?

You'd be surprised how toxin build up from liver failure/inflammation can affect the brain

Amarisco:
The symptoms you described sound like ADD. It’s an attention impairment. It is often more prevalent in childhood. This is not a ‘sickness’ and it can be trained. Drugs (recreational or medicinal) will not have any lasting impact, so please don’t even go there.
In my case, training the brain only served to exercabate the condition. I would not recommend stressing the mind even further.

I can understand how toxins can affect body as a whole but cause mental dissociation of this sort ?

You are not alone brother

My own got worst after I survived a near death experience, it was like am being controlled by something I don't know, while working in the street it just feels like it isn't me working like am sleeping some were am my image is on the street I find it hard to socialize well.
Each time I go to bed my mind will be running like it's doing 180.

Until I learnt the breathing exercise and having good sleep

@Poster, if you have never been on treatment of any kind, what I can initially suggest is you try to treat the symptoms. A trip to a psychiatrist can get you started on that.
With a previous history of mental illness, I went for that and it provided some relief for a couple of years(about 3 years). I was put on anti-depressants, anti-seizure medications, stimulants for daytime, and sleep medicines for night time, and they served me for a couple of years, and it took some work on my end to perfect my cocktail... you have to work with your doctor to get the right medication for you and the right dose to help you live a fairly normal existence.
The fear that I was slowly loosing my mind never really went away.... it kept telling me it was coming and I knew my cocktail was not the ultimate solution but it was the best science could give me at the time...my doctors assured me of this. By 2016, the effectiveness of medication starting to wane. I weaned myself off my meds, to start over, and it was during that time I noticed that the problem that set me on the path of treatment had gotten worse even while I was on treatment. The absent-mindnesses symptom was even more pronounced than before. I would sit in a room for hours staring at and thinking of nothing, sometimes from sun-up to sun-down.
By early 2017, I had completely lost interest in more than 90% of that which used to be my former existence. I had lost my ability to effectively communicate and comprehend language. Sigh! I eventually made the decision to give up on the rat-race, and simply focus on resting my mind and my body --it is what it has sort of always wanted from me. REST, and I have been RESTING ever since.
It wasn't easy. I had to quiet my mind as far as worrying and stressing over things. Acceptance was a big deal, cause I struggled for as long as I refused to accept my condition and what it was I knew I had to do. But once I reached acceptance, it became easier and easier from then on, to simply live the way I did -- sleeping, resting, shutting out the whole world, even family, to give my mind what it wants.... rest.
Fast forward to 2020, I am finally regaining some of my old interest. I am back online and even able to communicate fairly better now than was the case 3 years ago. I am more awake and less removed from my own world. Focus is a lot better, and I have hope I will be able to get back to the rat-race, probably after another year or so of nothing but more resting.

I guess I could say early this 2020. I found I could think again, and I am able to sustain focus on tasks again. It was a long road and I kept having to fight off despair all the way to this point. It is May 2020, and now I am even able to use and figure out how to do what on my computer again, something I have not been able to find interest in since 2017. grin cheesy cheesy

It's not training per say, more self-management.

Nope, it is one and the same thing. I would know because I had to work to unravel that knot to finally get my mind the rest it desired.
