COVID 19 is real. But the way and manner the Nigerian government did handled COVID 19 gave room for many Nigerians to doubt the existence of COVID 19 in Nigeria.
Imagine the Cross River commissioner of health claiming someone called him from Abuja warning him that what are they waiting for, that Cross River should admit an index case of Coronavirus that other states in the country have done that.
Is unexplainable how Nigeria became a deadly scam under the very nose of Mr. Integrity.

Is it by force to generate an infected person from your state?
So long they are saying they don't have infected person is even a thing of joy. Pls don't go there with infected people just to get them infected. Is like this guy is making a lot of cash from the state that are infected with the virus in the country that is why he wants all the state to be infected

If Kogi and Cross Rivers governments reiterates that they do not have Covid-19 in their states, then you leave them now. It's not by force to accept cases.

Why did the report fail to capture that there have been complains coming from Kogi of people dying with Covid-19 symptoms and the state authorities is refusing to test which prompted the decision to probe the claims that there is no Covid-19 cases in Kogi?

The way and manner reports are written is important please.

They have to be sure it's covid-19 free because if the state become like Ecuador where people are dieing anyhow, it will still fall back on both the Ministry of Health and NCDC

How would a governor not carry out test at all and claim it doesn't exist in his state. By so doing, he's endangering the health of the populace. So far, every other states have been taking precautions but Kogi is doing nothing, thereby being careless. There's no border lockdown, the main reason there have been successful travelling from North to the South.

No isolation centre created, no any preparedness whatsoever. I pity kogi indigenes
You pity Kogi?you better wake up to reality. No need for test since no one is showing Covid 19 sympthoms and no death caused by the disease has been recorded in the state, why is NCDC not happy about it? Most states claiming they have Covid 19 patients are not being truthful, all they want is money from FG.

Cross River State took proactive measures right from the onset.

It is not a must that all the states must have it. Or are they indirectly trying to import the virus into the state so as to count it among other states.

We are waiting for them but they must be quarantined for the 14 days before they start their work while being closely monitored.

Dhavido:
The Federal Government is low key making it obvious that they are trying to play politics with this pandemic. Imagine saying they'll be sending a technical team to 'validate' their claims of being a covid 19 negative state as if its expected that all state of the Federation should be positive.

Whatever it is they're doing, they should be caring so we don't have a full blown health crisis to battle with because I wouldn't want the scenes on the US, Spain and Italy that I watched on CNN to happen in Nigeria. It won't be funny

They surely need to validate their claims because it"s almost impossible for a state surrounded by 9 different states with positive cases and even some of the 9 states are hotspots, to claim that they don't have even a single case whereas their borders are open for free movement in and out of the state.

Are they really trying to protect us? They have no reason to ease the lockdown if they really care about our safety. We were on lockdown and the cases are on the rise yet they decided to ease the lockdown.

emmy9500:

The Government is trying to protect it's citizen, if there are cases of COVID-19 in Kogi state without proper policy there will be very serious transmission
