I know that of Edo state was personal. Obaseki did so to frustrate and deter political opponents who were hellbent on frustrating his government. It seemed to have worked.

In Wikes case, it's against citizens and there are more civil and legal ways it can be carried out. Dealing it up and fining them would have sufficed.

You are a big liar....the said road had already been completed a year before the demolition. The act was pure vindictiveness on the part of Ajimobi. Wike is a very callous person. Some people just need a little excuse to exhibit tyranny.

Everyone will hate me when I'm in office because of putting things in order and making the people obey the law — since we Nigerians are lawless.

When I leave office and a weak leader who can't enforce law takes over, they'll all miss me and want me to come back to rule them.

when you take strong constitutional actions for the right reasons, only backward people would not support you. but this was very unnecessary, there are better ways to handle such a situation such as sealing of the premises till a fine is paid. if you've built a house before, you'll feel the pain of your house being demolished. you don't treat lawlessness with lawlessness.

If u want to know the true definition of tyranny that's what is happening in Rivers state.
1. U lockdown a state
2. U say no going to work, then u carry palliatives to start sharing to only indegenes.
3. Fg brings palliatives at least to save non indigenes and indegenes who didn't get u reject it.
4. So many people are stranded in Rivers state as a result of the lockdown, they are homeless, and decided to lodge in hotels, you make them more homeless by shutting down the hotels. And send them off to the streets.
5. You then announce total lockdown if they see u on the road you are gone, and u unleash everything, both police o, army o, ospac vigilantes, cultists, indegenes on everyone on the road.
6. If u are caught in some places first thing they ask you is are u an indegene u say yes they free you if u say no they start beating u...

That's how fvcked up the state is, even pharmacies and sm hospitals were all closed down.

If u see the way his political party members and those who benefit directly from his administration call on radio every morning to support this man ,u all will agree with me that political loyalty will never bring anything good to this nation, it will blind ur eyes from condemning bad behaviour from our political leaders, I pray that we all should start seeking other genuine means of survival rather than politics ,it does no good to no man,when the previous governor was in power we saw genuine transformation before he was carried away by apc failed administration.

We Nigerians are very very stubborn, weeks before the lockdown wike has been telling us not to flaunt the lockdown orders but you know as Nigerian we believe in ‘Human rights bla bla’.. that is why the US has not been able to control the spread of the Corona Virus..
Yesterday when my next door neighbor drove out to where only him knew, not less than few minutes i could see him doing the fast and furious back home his children quickly open the gate for him.. since then he has been indoor, this morning i saw him and asked why he drove in like that , naso Bros begin dey tell me story of how he wanted to go out and see how people are observing the lockdown but he saw defaulters whose cars has been seized.
He said he managed to escape..

I don't know the reason for the demolition, do u know? Until we know I think we should reserve our comments. The posted did not state the reason for the demolition. If the building is illegal (e.g built on a road or pipeline) then the governor did the right thing. Yes it is painful because it costs a lot of money to build it. Ambode and Sawolu also demolished many illegal buildings in lagos.

But if the building was demolished because of flouting of lockdown orders then this is extreme and unnecessary, wicked.
