It depends on your routes or the routes you want to ply. Would you like to drive long distance because UBER customers may require that?

Two, what type of customers do you want? Do you want the regular customers or UBER customers made up mainly of the middle class upwards?

Three, what hours of operations do you want to run your business. UBER gives you the latitude to operate during the night, pick up night crawlers or club rats or night workers and all that. Although with Corvid-19, there might not be much customer traffic during the night.

Four, UBER will give you more peace of mind from Agbero disturbance than the Suzuki bus. Are you willing to put up or not to put up with their wahala?

Lastly, how much do you want to make. I think you may make more money with the car than with the bus.

But both vehicles if well managed and without accidents can give you good returns. But mind those points above and base your decision on them.

I will advice you to go for Toyota corolla for Uber, cos it is more durable than the mini bus. Moreover, transportation with corolla look more respectable than the mini bus

if you buy the Suzuki, agbero will disturb you though but you will continuously make money every minute of the day and will make at least 7-12k per day, but Uber you need a client to call you before you can make your money, I go for Suzuki. I'm even looking for money to buy one for myself at the moment

The mini bus is your best bet for business and good return on investment. Fuel consumption is very low. Maintenance is very low also.
Do more research on the mini bus and the transport system around you. But it's a better option.
Uber drivers will envy you in 6 months.

Go for minibus for the following reasons;
Low cost of servicing, maintenance and spare parts.
Superb fuel economy with it's 3plug engine.
Unlike Corolla which is a magnet to car theft especially the brain box, minibus has less chances of being hijacked or stolen.
Wider passengers than Corolla as not everyone can afford Uber and you may need to work at night to capture club rats and night crawlers.
The safety of you and your Uber car at night may not be guaranteed when you fall into the hands of armed robbers or kidnappers who may want to book or snatch a car for an operation.
Unlike Uber with both rich, humble, uncultured and arrogant passengers, you may need to be humble and down to earth to tolerate the bad customers. However in minibus you have the right as the owner to caution a passenger that misbehaves.

Depends on your agreement with the car owner ) and drive it for a month or 2 then from there, you can decide if you still want to buy corolla for uber or not.

I went out today since 6am. Guess how much I made. 3500 naira only and I bought 4k yesterday..

Don’t make the same mistake that I made .
I bought a mini bus sometime ago n in less than a year was able to raise about 1. 5 million to buy a Toyota Corolla for uber.
This was a mistake I ended up regretting cos the Corolla I bought almost twice the mini bus made a weekly delivery of 35 k where as ,the min bus paid me 30 k weekly
If I had bought 2 mini buses with that money my weekly returns would have been 60k as against the 35k the Uber guy was delivering. So guy u better invest that money on a minibus n continue to multiply it until you have made enough money to acquire a Toyota Corolla while still having your minibuses running. The corolla would then just be there for convenience.
My point is if what you want is to make money... go for the mini bus.
In terms of stress ,they are both stressful .

You must be very hard working to have made 1.5 million from a mini bus within a year, going on tour with bus self don't give that much in a year at times, due to maintenance and other unforseen spending.

At the moment, the Uber fare rates are complete rip-offs to the partner drivers.

The app company can afford to make the prices that low so long as they get their 25% commission on each ride not minding the stress on the driver's car plus the cost of maintenance.

It would seem as if you are making some cash from the job until your car calls for maintenance. Then you'd have to recall all the cash you had tucked away as profit plus even borrow to get it fixed then the cycle continues.

The number of cars on the street right now hustling isn't even encouraging.

With the minibus, you are your own boss in the real sense. Whatever comes in you'd be able to put some aside for maintenance. So long as you comply with all the agbero and police rules, you will be fine.

Stop misleading the op.Do you know how much the mini bus commercial drivers pays to mc oluomo thugs? Firstly,by allowing him to park daily at the garage is #2000 plus.There are other charges the driver will still pay before he will start paying in each loading of passengers in each trip.When he get to the last bus garage he will still pay the same fee or even more to the thugs there.So compare that with the uber 25% fee.Aside these fee he pays to mc oluomo thugs,he will be getting insults and harrassment from the thugs who extort money from him and the passengers as well.He will barely receive such from uber passengers who are well behaved.

From my experience, I think the Suzuki bus should be better. With due maintenance, it seldom gives fault.

When I was plying iyana ipaja to ayobo, from 6am to 8pm (including resting for one hour), I make about 7-8k excluding agbero and ticket fee. You can easily save 3k or moreeveryday depending on your strength ( that's after feeding, fuel and miscellaneous expenses).

I don't know the amount a tokunbo is sold for now, but when my oga bought it for my friend then it was around 750k

Well done bro, you are a real driver, not people who claim to be making 100% ROI within four months, now to the OP transportation is sweet and come with its own stress, I am a cab driver in Ibadan, you make profit someday and make looses too. If you can huzzle well you should be able to save from 2k-4k daily or more sometimes, Monday to Saturday, but be rest assured that you will face, VIO, Police, FRSC even with complete papers. Sometimes rain will scatter work, you will be too weak to work at times and so on, but in all transportation is sweet if you own the car. And the more you use your car the more it wear and tear. Though am planning of switching to haulage, get a cabstar to convey market women from the market or farm produce, it's stressful but the money come in once, unlike the 50 naira to 300 naira per passenger after shouting at the top of your voice.
