It is very important these days, in this very unstable Nigerian economy to have more than one source of income. Transport business is one of the business ideas second to food for daily income to flow into your account. Most of us just pack our cars for days, even months and nothing is coming in from the car in terms of money. I believe this thread would be an eye opener for us all.

Plz fee free to post your idea or opinion and let's learn from one another. No person knows it all.

And please let's not insult anyone, the seemingly foolish opinion may contain keys to success, plzzzzz.

1. Toyota Sienna 1998 to 2003.
This car is good for you if you are aiming for Intercity and intra-city and inter-state transport business, that is, you intend to use it within a city moving passengers from one end of the city to another extreme end of the same city, an example is from Epe to Abule Egba in Lagos. You can also use it to move from one State to another, an example is from Lagos to Ijebu Ode or to Ilorin, or from Owerri to Ibadan, etc.

Why is Toyota Sienna a very good option?
1. It's fuel economy is superb. This car de economize fuel like craze.
2. It's legs are very strong for Nigerian roads. The suspension of this Sienna is very rugged and it shock absorbers can withstand considerable amount of weight.
3. It spare parts are easily accessible anywhere in Nigeria.
4. Toyota Sienna 1998 to 2003 is easier to diagnose and fix for majority mechanics in Nigeria because Toyota design this car for simplest repair experience.
5. The spare parts of Toyota Sienna 1998-03 is very cheap compared it's counterparts. From Engine to shocks to disc to transmission, etc are very affordable.
6. The ride experience in Toyota Sienna 1998-03 is comfortable and very balance in terms of top speed stability.
7. The Sienna is designed very rugged for all weather in rain or in shine season.

8. It's very spacious for it size. Sienna has capacity to seat minimum 8 passengers and also offers go ample space for luggages.

9. Sienna can be used for carrying loads instead of people. You can use it for supplies to super stores, carry all manners of stuffs fully loaded both in it interior and on it roof. All have you to do is to remove the seats from second row to the booth.

The point is that you won't regret buying this car if you do thorough inspection before buying one, whether tokunbor or registered one.

The price of tokunbor one with working AC is N1.3m with us here in Lagos and that of the registered one is N850k with us here in Lagos.

If you maintain your Toyota sienna 1998-03 very well and manage the business well it has the capability of earning minimum N200k per month. That's the salary of a senior civil servant in Nigeria.

How about Toyota picnic

For better performance, durability, strength, larger space, longer distance, better second hand value, etc, go for Toyota Sienna.
Picnic is another good car for transportation business if that's what you like, it's still a good choice.

To buy a Toyota picnic, my advice is: go for the tokunbor ones.

Good thread.

As long as it contains Nigeria made/assembled cars, yes it will be a good thread.
Otherwise it is a bad thread for unpatriotic Nigerians undermining our economy and increasing unemployment so their peers can be called lazy youths.

The Standard Organization of Nigeria today, Wednesday, February 12th 2020, presented the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) certification to Nigeria first indigenous vehicle manufacturing company, Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing. The MANCAP certificate was presented to the Chairman/CEO of Innoson Vehicles, Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma OFR by the Director-General of Standard Organization of Nigeria, SON, Osita Aboloma Esq.

Delivering his Keynote Address, Osita Aboloma said that the award certificate to Innoson Vehicles shows that the company went through rigorous process of inspections and quality assurance in the last five years or even more and also demonstrated compliance to the relevant product standards and is providing products that meet consumer expectations and offer value for money among other benefits.

Stating further, he said "with the award of MANCAP's certificate to Innoson brand of vehicles, we are demonstrating how standardization and conformance to standard offer strategic opportunities for increased efficiency, set bench marks and help promote Made-In-Nigeria products to the international market, as this award will boost Innoson's brand across borders. We are in effect saying that Innoson brand is fit to be used in Nigeria and beyond.

In his Goodwill message, the National President of Nigerian Association of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Hajiya Saratu Iya Aliyu and who was represented its National Vice President, Mr Humphrey Ngonadi noted that for Innoson Vehicles to receive the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) means that it met the relevant Nigerian Industrial Standards (NIS) and it is a "confirmation of the capacity of our industry". The NACCIMA President assured Innoson Vehicles of the continuous support of NACCIMA to his company.

Giving his remarks, the Innoson Vehicle Boss, Chief Chukwuma gave the assurance that Innoson Vehicles will continue to employ international best practices in the production of its vehicles so that they can compare favorably in terms of durability, fuel economy and safety. He stated further that the company is now producing affordable cars that an average Nigerian worker can purchase easily.

The SON's mission is to promote consumer confidence and global competitiveness of Made-in-Nigeria products and services through Standardization and Quality Assurance. SON established the Mandatory product certification scheme (MANCAP) to ensure that locally manufactured products provide the required degree of satisfaction to consumers through compliance with applicable standards and government policies on standardization and conformity assessment.

A major attendant benefit of the SON certification to Innoson Vehicles is hitch-free exportations to other countries and mostly the African Countries.
