gretblue:
There is no provision for E voting in our electoral system as of today. Opting for e voting will surely make the results unconstitutional at the end of the exercise.
And if the election can not be held before their tenures expires, the Constitution say , Mr President shall appoint a sole administrator.
It could be amended

The possibility of amending the Constitution within few months and providing for the evoting machines are slim

Please Explain yourself better.
Meanwhile, both of them will complete their first four years this year..
If they are voted in again, then their second four years will expire in 2024.
what if their first four years expired and election is not hold due to the Corona virus issue. I mean if inec is unable to conduct the election this year because of covid19, will the governors step down pending when inec is able to conduct the election or they will continue to serve as Governors even though their constitutional 4yrs has expired.

Well, in such cases, there would be an interim government.

The problem with Africa is we choose not to be innovative. What is wrong in Nigerian being d first country to do an electronic vote. Must we always copy-copy?

Look at corona virus Madagascar claim they have found a cure, d whole world is sceptical. If it were UK, US or France that day they discovered a cure we would embrace with all our membrane.

What is wrong with us in Nigeria and Africa?

It is just a matter of time,
Nothing can stop electronic voting.
It is the order of the new civilization

The rigging will be of epic proportions. They may call on the Russians or Chinese to help generate E-votes using Autobots. Be careful what you wish for.

Something just occurred to me.
Isn't it better that unknown Russians and Chinese hackers hacked the system with some unknown complicated tactics, than for our own INEC officials whom we trusted to be the ones adding their own values here and there?

The result will be the same, corrupt, barely literate thugs will be elected as leaders. These people cannot be trusted to even lead a flock of cows yet they are rigged into power to rule a state/country. This is why Nigeria is regressing back to the first century.

INEC had been generating manual votes using human-inec-bots all these while.
How do we control that one?

It's a pity.
Is there any way to stop all these?
Can you think of any solution?

We can demand accountability. Having members of the public/international community who are not bought monitor the votes. However that is unlikely, this is Nigeria we are talking about, Jungle-Zoo where anything goes, a country where a state records more votes in an election than the citizens residing in that state.

Unless this country is burnt down to the ground and re-started again, I don't see how change is going to happen. Corruption is ingrained in every Nigerian, even the ones unborn have the corrupt DNA.

Not even the Gov will be in the office a minute after their tenures expire
You're Correct.
