And CBN recently said there's no Forex scarcity. Why is this government always lying to us
Well na better cash out for streets
What else do you expect from a government that has a dullard as president and a lying machine as minister of information?
Is it not the same government that told us Nigeria was fully prepared for corona virus when the virus didn't reach here?

baba how can i preserve the little change i have in naira bank accounts?

Since it's depreciating fast.
It depends. If you are a businessman just like me, invest it in marketable goods. That way, the money is preserved, with the extra profit that comes from it.

Otherwise, you exchange them for dollars.

I understand you clearly...
How I wish I fund my Forex trading account when the dollar rate was still below 400 naira. With this lockdown I would have made a lot of dollars for myself and even spend some now that its value is up.

How can you continue to shroud something and not expect it's value and scarcity to increase

They stopped all transactions and transfer on Forex accounts since. Even if you have a domiciliary forex account, YOU CAN NOT TRANSFER IT TO ANYWHERE.
The only thing you can do with Forex card account with existing fund is to pay for international transactions or purchase something with it online.
The only way you can fund the account is to buy Forex From bureau de change and go to the bank to deposit it.

What kind of stupîdity is that?

Since the implementation of that nonsense, naira has continued to devalue.

Is it only Nigeria that Corona virus or lockdown is affecting?

USELESS leaders.

Bro, you mean say if I go aboki buy dollar, deposit into my dorm account. Them no go let me transfer the money go another country?

Why be say we no fit carry naira enter bank request dollar transfer to another country for business?
Why we must buy from Aboki?

That is if you have dollar to exchange, if you plan to send dollar to a dom account in Nigeria and exchange it for 450, good luck with that. The banks don't have dollar to give anyone, that's what they claim but we know they are holding. The only option you have is a conversion at $388 or so. Been there and I was mad angry

Guy, are you serious? Them no dey give cash dollar again for bank? So boys wey wan cash out and sell to aboki no go see shi shi for bank?

No policies and strategies can avert economic woes neither be dished as profered solutions to economic meltdown when you don't understand the existence and influence central bankings in most countries.

China knew American masters' games very well, reason Trump called the cunning dwarf. China is up for the game, hence the implementation of policies to only promote internal dependence and monetary circulation.

You lots that falsely claimed economy were at peak during GEJ, OBJ, never ask why dollar kept rising against naira? First, you don't know what CENTRAL BANK is all about.

Yes, i think you can, you download the app, and register, it would tell you how much their rates and charges are. You can send with your debit card, paypal or you can open an account with them, bank your money there, witdraw or send when ever you want.

it will still affect u. the person u de buy garri from de also consume foreign goods like electronics, e.g socket, extension, bulbs TVs, computer, phones, etc. when the price of getting this things into naija increases, the garri seller will have to pay more to buy any imported product. so him too go increase price of garri in other to meet up. It has a way of affecting everything we do. hope u get it. u no remember say before we de buy mudu of garri #100-150. exchange rate affects everything u can think of.

This maths is counterintuitive, it's supposed to be crashing not rising. No body is sourcing dollars for international travels or importations like that due to border closure, so where's the demand that's making dollar rise like that? Our economy always defies logic angry

Calm down bro...its not fake news...3 different rate let me explain...if you have $100 right now...go on the street(Sabo) you will get 44500(That is called black market or parallel market or unofficial market), same $100 official with CBN is currently 390 naira, (in the bank and worldwide exchange), so..the 374 u were talking about is money transfer rate because they also making extra 15naira on every 1 dollar on your money. do u get it now?

It's because nigeria is an import heavy country. we are always buying foreign goods, but have nothing to export, hence putting pressure on the dollars w have in the country.

Too much naira chasing too few dollars. Thus, dollar price goes up.

Another problem be say, in the short to medium term, customers will be reluctant to accept the new prices based on current exchange. That will put a drag on sales. Indirectly pressure on you for turnover.

It's tough. Today 446... Tomorrow 430.. It makes things difficult. You might sell a good at 446 today.. Tomorrow the exchange rate might jump to 460.
