Don't be ignorant, he has the constitutional right to carry out such task, especially when it comes to saving human lives. Here we don't believe anything is real, until it happens to people we know. Covid- 19 is real, and we should abide with government laid down rules to safe lives. #alllifematters.

Very commendable. The Hon. Chairman did very well but I think we need to add innovations to our approach. The lockdown and making general things scarce is not helping matters. Wike should enforce safety guidelines and not Lockdown.

Banks need support to open more payment points and employ extra hands for customer care points. People should be encouraged to use emails more often than visiting banks. And bankers should be prompt in response.

Make more cash points and cash service centres. With innovative ideas, we can reduce the crowds.
Is it the email I hv bn sending to GTB dat dey refuse to address until I decide to visit the branch out of anger? The worst scenario is dat their gen went off for almost 1hr dat frustration start to show on the face of the masses b4 their senses came bk and now dey haven't unblock my acct since 16th of April

Did he really shut it down?

He sent out the crowd.

Asked the security man why there was no effective crowd control

Asked another security man if they were conducting temperature checks

Asked for handwashing facility and why there was no soap

Called the manager / bank rep and queried why there was no effective crowd control and protective measures in place.

Threatened to shut down the branch if all measures were not put in place to protect customers and said he would come back to the bank to check for compliance.

He did not shut it down
The Bolded.

How did he even ever imagine he could shut it down?

He didn't shut it down! The directive after sending the crowd out was for the security to regulate number of persons coming in with proper spacing and that only persons with face masks were to be allowed in.

But isn't this supposed to be the responsibility of the bank that opens its doors for business. It appears no one is interested in safety. Perhaps the goverment should sign a social contract with the people that it will not take responsibility for the fallout of bad behaviour and end all curfews and enforcements.

If Nigerians will not balance health and safety with welfare in a sensible mannerthe government cannot compel them to. This is the strength of our nation. This is who we are. They see goverment inactivity in some states they complain. They see over activity in others, they complain. Nigerians should be left to their devices abeg.

Stupidity and rivers government are identical twins

It is the duty of the bank to control the senseless and stubborn Nigerians who came to transact in their premises.

The bank should have made sure who ever gathers in their bank complies to social distancing

But the Rivers State PDP is planning a swearing in ceremony of their state executives today. If this is not hypocrisy I wonder what is.

Absolutely. The bank is liable for this mess. The management should be called to question. You will think that banks are run by enlightened, decent and honest people you can count on. You wil rather send your enforcement resource teams to markets and abbatoirs.
