I always thought it was common knowledge that the jaguar S Type shared parts with ford, guess I was wrong.

McLaren is the only company I'd say is completely British at the moment. Even Aston has a very close relationship with Mercedes.

I believe Honda did have a 20% or so share in Rover for over a decade. Some Rover models were based on Honda models, even. They never owned Rover, though.

Exactly, it was a collaboration between Honda and Rover at their Swindon factory. Honda never bought over or owned Rover. There was also the Rover 800 series that was closely related to the honda legend.

Be realistic for once, the range rover sport gearbox was built by Jaguar, so they both use the same gearbox, same oils, same oil filter, same software, u want me to go on?

It is called JaguarLandrover, yes. one company..I see their products parked in their premises any time I visit Fort Dunlop in Birmingham. Fort Dunlop overlooks Jaguar Land Rover premises..but I would like to understand more sir, how Jaguar cars use the same gear box as Range Rover Sport These are vehicles designed for completely different
driving Dynamics..Not saying categorically because I have not seen their individual gear boxes but I'm curious how Jaguar Landover would fit same gear box in two completely different vehicles..By the way I'm aware Jaguar F Type shares parts with Aston Martin - Same company, similar cars but different badges..

Jaguar and Land Rover, two renowed unreliable car companies owned by Jaguar Land Rover, which is in turn owned by Chery(A Chinese company) and TATA. I heard that customers protested in China over their poor quality control on the vehicles, can you imagine, In a place known for poor quality products .

I'm sure you've heard the adage "If you go off roading in a Range Rover, you'll need a Land Cruiser to tow you back".

And before anyone start praising German cars, please know that even though they're great cars, they're still over engineered with different innovations which means that so many things can go wrong at any time (Which happens unfortunately).
That's why they're great cars to lease not own, because once warranty is over, your wallet is over.
