Just In!!! Ikpeazu Inspects Ongoing Projects In Abia, Stops Street Trading At Opobo Junction (Photos)

IgbereTV reports that Governor Ikpeazu on Wednesday Inspected some ongoing Projects In Abia, during which he ordered the General Manager of the Traffic and Indiscipline Management Agency of Abia State (TIMAAS), Engr. Bright Chinedu Ikeokwu to immediately rid the popular Opobo Junction area at Ogbor Hill of forms of street trading.

Governor Ikpeazu who earlier spoke about the menace of the street traders around the Opobo axis during his radio interview at Magic FM Aba lamented that despite all appeals to the traders, they have continued to Illegally occupy the area, including the entrance into Ehere Road through Opobo Junction.

Governor Ikpeazu ordered the agency to use every lawful means to move the street traders away from the area to allow free flow of traffic.

Hope he inspected the forever ongoing flyover at osisioma?

The pics you posted here is mainly the pics of the road leading to Community girls secondary school umungasi...poor job you can't compare that with the same cement styled road dangote is building in Lagos...

So .many manual workers driven excavations going on in ABA in the name of road construction....

So he has also adopted the concrete pavement construction he learnt from Ebonyi state.
Or course, he will reap a higher amount of kickbacks compared to asphalt

Those roads will not last.
If the base course is well compacted to achieve a good CBR, and the grade of concrete is up to standard, I see no reason why it won't last even more than asphalt

It is not to take d street traders off but as a governor, what r u doing to solve d menace of street trading. Leaders with no plan for d masses. What a zoo indeed.

Forget this man is simply incompetent. He has done almost nothing. He has been building a flyover for more than 4 years and he's not completed it. He owes salaries to even health workers. Ok other states are sharing palliatives he too say he wan share. He now said to avoid corruption he would hand it over to all the registered churches so everyone should go and collect in his own church. My mum who is an Assemblies of God member went to her church the next Sunday and the pastor announced that the state government brought half bag of rice and some sachets of tomato as their share of the palliatives. grin I nor fit laugh

cheesy

That's the governor

Unlike our Rivers terror

Apart from constructing roads

Please can someone mentioned Wike's project as governor for the past five years?

As I can remember;
No recruitment nor building of an industry or any kind of innovative projects from Wike's adminstration.

Good, although so far it is looking like a poor quality job. Someone might be quick to ask me how do you know. My verdict is based on what I’m currently observing in some of the pictures. The millions that was awarded as contract for this job can only be imagined.
