Not so long ago, people were criticizing the South-East for not voting for Buhari, and now you're criticizing us for supposedly voting for Buhari. Last I checked, it was the SW vote that brought Buhari to power, TWICE.

Before Buhari came to power nko

Since 1954, you guys have been voting for North

What about since 1954, when you guys have been working against SW.

Hell No
But one thing I am sure, Hausas will not mind to return the power to Igbos than South West. This your by force alignment with the Hausas will not work, they don't like you and will never. Just stay close to them and see how they see you guys as potential slaves. They will even tell you that their only match in Nigeria is Igbo.
Keep aligning while they keep advancing into your territory.
Ilorin has fallen
Lagos is partly no longer Yoruba State because it is just a matter of time before either Igbos in Ojo, Amuwo Odofin or Hausas in Agege will produce the next Governor of Lagos State.

Incoherent bunkum. Hausas don't like Yorubas ba? So who do they like and trust? SE? How many times must prominent Northerners show you lot unequivocally that they prefer Yorubas when it comes to political leadership of Nigeria?

You think this is about selling spare parts in Barkin Zuwo market or Hawking cheap China techno phones in Daura?

You Igbos are a people who never do reality so I will leave you to your delusions including your lunatic pontification an Igbo will become Governor of Lagos.

NEWS2023: Senator Hanga reveals region to produce next President, gives reasons

A former member of the House of Representatives and Senator representing Kano Central, Rufai Hanga, has told the North to shelve the idea of remaining in power after President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.

According to him, the power should return to the South and precisely, the Southwest because they will turn things around, adding that it is not because of their (Southwest) loyalty to the North, but because they have done it before and we have seen it.

The Kano-born politician also said that Igbo cannot produce next president by threats, adding that the South East and South South have little or no chance at all.

Why dont the SE compete fairly for the slot in the PDP and in APC

Just like Ekwueme competed with OBJ when the slot came to the south and was soundly beaten

The same SE that always want to compete for everything is now afraid to compete for this

Go and meet the PDP and tell them to give you the Presidency for supporting the party for the past 21yrs

The SE should not do this, the north cant keep power for another 8years. Power must return south no matter who gets it, a lot of things are going on under Buhari and Apc that a lot of us from the south are not aware only when a southern leader gets into power that those things can be corrected.

If north hangs on to power for another 8years forget it

Oga forgerrit! The rest of the south will suffer terribly if yoruba grabs power again. After misruling this country for 8 years as Pres. and 8 as VP.

The yorubas have not hidden their wicked agenda for the rest of the south. It is naturally the SE turn and SS will support them. If the SE is denied the tickets and zoning disrepected, let it remain in the north, since zoning is dead and buried.

There is nothing these chest-beating yorubas like grayoso can do about it. They are conditioned to follow and not lead. We saw it during the war, we saw it when Awo lost election severally. We saw it when MKO, his wife, Dele giwa etc were all killed by the north. Kwara has been in the hands of fulanis for donkey years, what did you do? Nothing! Siddon look mugu! yorubas are all bark and no bite. grin

They can go to blazes when they lose, since they don't belive in equity. They have no clean hands.

There is an unwritten rule in Nigerian politics that power should rotate between the North and South every 8 years, for the sake of equity and fairness. No sooner had Buhari won his second term than the political calculations of 2023 started.

While most people in Southern Nigeria believe that power should move to the South after Buhari would have concluded his 8 years in 2023, the question is which of three zones in the South, SW/SE/SS, should it go to?

If equity and fairness is why the Presidency should come down to the South in 2023 then the SW has no business producing the President that year!

The South West have had their 8 years with Obasanjo, the SS have had 4 years with Jonathan while the SE has not had a shot at it yet. Since the SW have had their 8 years in this democratic dispensation, it is only fair that when the Presidency rotates to the South in 2023, it should either go the SS, to enable them complete their 8 years, or go to the SE who have not had it at all

If the SW insist on taking a shot at the Presidency in 2023, then it means that fairness and equity does not mean anything to them. Therefore, the SE/SS should work against the SW producing the President, even if it means power staying in the North.

To support SW Presidency in 2023 will amount to giving the the SW a 'third term' when the other two zones in the South are yet to equal the two terms the SW have already had.

The SE/SS should say NO to a 2023 SW Presidency! If the SW insists on cheating the rest of the South in 2023, then let the whole South be cheated!
See painment cheesy

SS would be making a big mistake sentimentally attaching themselves to those losers in the battle for 2023. Everything begins at the APC and PDP primaries. It is impossible for an Igbo to emerge the Presidential candidate of either the APC and PDP at their respective Primaries.

I would therefore suggest the Igbos prepare and ready themselves to play spoiler to Yoruba ambitions in 2023 as the emotional and frustrated OP suggests.

My only advice to the SS, seen currently as politically sensible by most Nigerians, is to be careful not to sink with the toxic and hateful Igbos or run the risk of being permanently labeled as hate voters same as Igbos are now personally tagged and scarred.

We should all remember that the inability of Igbos to attract prominent Nigerians from all corners of our nation to back their ambition is directly linked to the hateful, insultive and anti-nation actions of Igbos that means others simply cannot trust Igbos with ultimate power.

Yoruba supported Nnamdi Azikwe ( including Awolowo.)

Nnamdi azikiwe contested twice in two different parties founded by the Yorubas. He enjoyed the western support more to be victorious over the Northern interest. He betrayed the west later.

Obasanjo became president he was a Yoruba

When the easterners voted Shagari a nonentity against Awolowo..Yoruba supported Buhari to take over as the military head of state. Buhari took over power because dump shagari was embarrassing the Hausa/Fulanis (he was a poor leader)

Abiola enjoyed the support of the Yoeubas to win the election.

Earnest Shonekan was from west

Again Obasanjo came in again as Democratic leader..product of the west.

Yara'dua was supported by the west

Again Jonathan from south south became president by virtue of the SW votes before we turned him against the S.west.

Buhari is a product of western support.

On the other hand..

Igbo brought and supported

Babangida

Abacha

Sheu shagari to power

If Igbo doesn't vote for Yoruba, the South west can still win an election.

If the Northern wins against Yoruba..they will serve more Yoruba's interest because they know what The Yorubas are made of.

Hausa are not ready to merge with Igbo for now because is going to be death trap for them.
I see Yoruba winning 2023 without the SE support

Oga you are a bloody yoruba amala-muncher, gerrout!

The East will not vote a yoruba again, until zonal rotational principle is fully observed. Take it or leave it.

yorubas are ants that make too much noise to make people believe they elephants. When did they start winning national elections?

If they won't give way for the presidency to rotate to the SE, the SE, SS and North will face them squarely in 2023. Just like yorubas and awolowo failed severally at the polls, they'll fail again. yorubas have never made themselves president but they brainwash and deceive themselves that they are 'kingmakers' in post-independence Nigeria.

Op I totally agree with your write up not only on the basis of equality but also a pay back time for what happened in 2015, and if SW think that by aligning with the north that they will produce next president sorry for your guys because north will betray you people, with a northerner candidate from PDP, SW can only get 20% vote from north.

Oga stop using buhari's election to beat your dry chest. Very predictable and typical yorubaman!
There have been more than 8 national elections in this country, you've lost almost all and cling to 'buhari election' as if that it is only part that will be taught in history classes. grin

Since when did the SS align with SE?
Go and look at your history books, the SS always play mainstream politics not stupid sectional politics. Let the SE keep fooling themselves with attachment by force, when the time comes they will know that SS and SE are two different regions.
