MOUAU. Access bank (Diamond)). #9000 was deducted from my salary. It's very painful. Before we joined IPPIS, my salary was 124...excluding tax, pension and union deductions. Last month, it was 127...However, what I saw today as credit alert was 118...It's very painful. Btw, I'm not a member of any cooperative.

It is the same cry everywhere, the worse part is that in Port Harcourt we have not seen payslip for some time.

until there is stability in the salary payments, there is no way they can compute the arrears with the various complaints and discrepancies observed since February
Re: Has Any Federal Civil Servant Received The New Minimum Wage? by cerpvad(m): 10:14pm On May 15, 2020
BTW, which arrears are you people expecting sef? Our minimum wage increase has been swallowed by heavy statutory deductions. This implies that whatever we are entitled to in the name of arrears has also been swallowed by the killer deductions. Where have you ever heard it that arrears of deductions are paid? Sorry to disappoint you, the arrears we are expecting are actually in the pocket of FG in form of statutory deductions angry

The heavy deductions started jan 2020 but as for 2019 no heavy deductions hence we still have some reasonable arrears. Some that were under IPPIS b4 we (fed poly) got in were given infact one of the fed poly (auchi) collected arrears, so we r still expecting.

If ippis paid April salaries to lecturers that were on ippis before now, y then are they not paying those they forcefully migrated to ippis their April salaries?
This country is a scam

Good morning colleagues,

I want to on behalf of the CNO enjoin us to be patient as we are doing EVERYTHING within our means to get the salary issues in Federal Polytechnics resolved.

The reports from IPPIS as it affects the malady associated with April salaries are not coherent as it is evident that this is not a case of batchwise release of salaries. There is no identifiable pattern in the omissions with some chapters recording as much as 80% in omitted salaries.

We have reported the issue to the NLC national Secretariat in our latest update to the labor centre and followed up with a press statement on same issue (to be published later in the day).

We are also in constant consultation with ALL the relevant agencies of government within the permissible limits of the period on the issue.

I enjoin us to persevere until the pandemic induced lock down of the sector is over for a more engaging reaction on this issue and other issues.

Even as it is believed that the omitted April salaries will be released soon, the issues around prompt payment of salaries in full must be a focal point for productive engagement on resumption.

Thank you and accept the warm regards of the CNO.

President.

Who here knows how the Personal Income Tax (PAYE) is calculated?

Kindly elucidate and break it down down to a layman like me.

Thanks.

Some of u guys said the FG should hold on to its money because they don't want to be paid under IPPIS

From the very beginning, FG held the knife and the yam. They had all your details and the request for VCs to revalidate the BVN of academic staff was merely a courtesy. In the end, FG got their way.

I understand it hurts to be forcefully enrolled onto a platform you didn't voluntary sign up for but your denial is far from the truth.

My wife is an academic staff in the same university as me and using the new CONUASS salary template (from the NSIWC website) and the new tax regime, her salary was calculated and we arrived at the exact figure she was paid yesterday.

For the avoidance of doubt, what was paid to academic staff was February and March Salary with the new minimum wage and 18 - 20% deductions calculated based on the gross salary. The deductions are as follows

1. Pension - 7.5%
2. PAYE Tax - 6% (in my wife's case)
3. National Housing Fund - 2.5%
4. Union Dues - 2%

In the words of Phyno, "obago', e don enter be say e don enter. ASUU has entered IPPIS and can't possibly exit it.

Every other talk on FG committing an illegality, breaching labour laws and worker's trust, dragging FG to court etc is just empty noise and okoto meow.

ASUU should pivot their agitation onto some other areas like payment of minimum wage arrears, revitalization, fulfillment/implementation of previous agreements, earned allowances etc.

In life, you win some and lose some. ASUU has lost this IPPIS battle.

From info gathered from the payroll officer, Ippis sent it to the institution.

So they decided to print for us since we yet to be given permission to login into our profile on ippis platform
