Upper class in naira grin
That means an average American graduate dey upper class.
Trash statistics
Someone earning #60 per annum in Nigeria can live a far more luxurious lifestyle than a fresh American graduate earning $40-50k per annum. They are not on the same level not even remotely close. At #5 million a month, one or two month is enough to cover rent, food, transportation etc for the year unlike the American graduate that is going to be living from paycheck to paycheck. Actually someone earning #60 million per annum in Nigeria lives better than 95 to 98% of all Americans.

The figures there is annually (yearly) not monthly.

The person that prepared this shit is terribly sick. Do u want people to have HBP or how many average Nigerians earn above 150k with this current poverty in the land. Go to the street and see how PhD holders are struggling to get even part time lecturing jobs.

I completely disagree with this report. If less than 150k is poor, then nobody is poor in Nigeria. No family earns less than 150k yearly.

0-1m should have been the benchmark for lower class.

Maybe, 1.1-3m for middle lower class.

3.1-5m middle class.

5.1-9.9m for middle upper class.

10-40m rich.

41-100m very rich.

100m -plus ultra rich.

In Nigeria,

Upper Class = 50,000 people, mostly politicians and their fronts like Dangote

Lower Upper class = 2 million people

Middle Class = 5 million people

Lower class = 40 million people

Poor people = 160 million people

Thanks to Nnamdi Azikiwe, Tafawa Belewa, Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello, Ironsi, Gowon, Muritala, Obasanjo, Shagari, Buhari, Babangida, Abacha, Shonekan, Abdulsalami, Yaradua, Goodluck.....and a honorable mention to all the looting past and present senators, governors, ministers, permanent secretaries, directors of ministries and agencies, LGA Chairmen, Counselors, Commissioners angry

They call all those rogues that rushed Nigeria to independence founding fathers, I call them useless men or founding robbers, they laid the useless foundation upon which this failed Nigeria was built on, they all need to be exhumed and killed again angry

I guess your god is a magician.

Since your god is more than 2yrs I guess you're on the category of upper class. Which we both know you're far from it.

People like you are the problem of Christianity looking for miracle which is already in you.

My God is not a magician his blessings are forward and upward.

The classification is not one shoe fit all. Assuming you earn 60m per annum and your asset base is 30m are you better than someone who earns 30m but has an asset base of 200m. What am saying in essence is that the worth of an individual is not solely measured by earnings per year.

Valid point. Don't forget to include geographical location. Someone earning 50M/yr in Lagos has less disposable income than some earning the same amount in Akure.

Could this be the reason why most of the comments in nairaland dont make sense? Most nairalanders are poor and a poor man should be a hungry man and a hungry is an angry man and hardly can an angry man make sense. Those that collect bribery from polithiefians to defend them are poor too
grin grin grin
of course majority of people on nairaland are struggling or you thought here is for celebrities Lol
